RUGBY HISTORY

The Rugby is a contact sport team born in England.
During the nineteenth century it developed among private
schools in England a game called football carnival that students
practiced in every British town. This kind of rules emerge
modern rugby and football and other sports related.
The invention of rugby is attributed to a student of the School of
Rugby. According to the story, in 1823, during a game of
football or soccer carnival, William Webb Ellis, disobeying the
rules of the game, took the ball with his hands and carried it to
the opposing goal, getting a goal.
This event is officially approved by the International Rugby
Board as the first antecedent of the modern rugby, and the
trophy to the winners of the Rugby World Cup is named after
delivery.
A mid-nineteenth century came the need to unify the rules of the
game and put them in writing, although opponents agreed
before each game rules, arguments and quarrels about the
actions that were permitted or prohibited, it was inconvenient
each more noticeable.
The Rules of Rugby were written on August 28, 1845 by three
students, William Delafield Arnold, WW Shirley, and Frederick
Hutchins. It consisted of a series of recitals and 37 rules that
constitute the first antecedent of the modern rugby regulated.
There are rules which then signal the identity of the game.

The January 26, 1871 the first rugby football federation was
founded, the Rugby Football Union of England, then
comprised of 22 clubs. Three lawyers who were Rugby students
were responsible for drafting the first regulation, which was
adopted in June 1871. On March 27 of that year the first
international match was played between England and Scotland
in Edinburgh.
England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland: With the expansion of
rugby in Britain, the first international tournament between the
four British countries was organized. Soon after, France, where
rugby had great development, joined the tournament and most
recently was incorporated Italy before the creation of the Rugby
World Cup in 1987.

BASIC RULES OF RUGBY
Are not allowed to pass the ball forward, only taking it can
move forward or kicking him
Any player can advance the ball
A downed player must pass or release the ball
If a player knocks down his opponent must release the ball

Annotations
Try: It is when a player grounds the ball on the try line after the

points.
Drop: At any time during the game a player can attempt to kick
the ball between the sticks. For this you have to chop the ball on
the ground before kicking the ball. This move is worth 3 points.
Formation
Rucks: If the ball is on the floor, and players from both teams
are looking for clutching the ball, this is called Ruck.
Line: The ball goes off the side and the opposing team throwing
the ball shows the corridor formed by the two teams with the
advantage that the serving team.
