Competency wise report:

Problem analysis:

Pallabi was below then the required level in terms of problem analysis. She only managed a few,
partially achieved indicators (around 30%) but many were absent or were outweighed by
negative behavior.
Exercise: GDM (observed and summary created by Reaz Uddin)

Strength: Pallabi tried to identify key information from the available source of data and tried to
use those data on her argument. She identified and observed the available data such as cultural
difference, life style, post experience related with the situation. She tried to draw conclusion
based on her argument. Moreover, she identifies impact of problem on others and tries to present
her view through argument.

Areas of improvement: In the whole session she did not try to questioning. Moreover, she did
not ask for fact and gather information. She should approach to proactively accommodate
conversation and breed innovation within team.

Exercise: In-basket (observed and summary created by Kamaruzzaman Shohan)

Strength: Pallabi lacks problem analysis skills big time. She could not break the problem what
was given into in-basket. In some cases, she directly involved on merely email to the company
boss without considering what the problem is and what should be done to take appropriate
measure. Only in item 6 she suggested customers to take a new jacket or the company may
refund to her customer.
Areas of improvement: Pallabi needs to think of the problems in a broader way. She should be
more focused identifying key agendas. She needs to relate one item with another to establish a
mutual solution.


Influencing:

Pallabi was below then the required level in terms of problem analysis. She only managed a few,

Strength: In most of the cases, pallabi tried to argue based on others argument. She
communicated several benefits of proposal by saying about past work experience, lifestyle and
success story. She used these signs as facts and figures to reinforce her argument as well. In
addition, many candidates agreed on her facts and figures which are a positive indicator of
influencing. She also got influenced by other candidates and agreed by shaking her head
positively.

Areas of improvement: In discussion, there was little evidence in which she proposed own
ideas. She did not show any evidence to manage the discussion effectively and there was no
initiative to anticipate possible oppositions.


Exercise: CBI (observed and summary created by Imran Kamal)

Strength: Pallabi tried to answer the questions which were asked by the panel. When asked how
she acted as a mediator in a heated argument, she recalled an incident where both of her friends
wanted to take her into different programs and was having heated argument between, she
requested both to take their families and they together will go somewhere next time. When we
asked to imagine a situation where most active team member wants to leave due to pressing
needs at home; she replied that she would be offering flexible office hours and as well as keeping
the deadlines in mind. She also was ready to offer her working from home. In this way she
showed that she can negotiate and compromise where appropriate to gain commitment.

Areas of improvement: Pallabi showed inconsistency throughout her CBI session. She lacks
influencing capability. When we asked her about a situation where people are resistant to change
but she needs to win the situation, she was never very confident. She said she will try to give a
sample of her innovation and we asked what if they still resist then she said she will try only.
When asked her how she would convince reluctant members, she was more worried about
financial issues rather than gaining commitment. She needs to be more confident while
influencing people.

Planning and organizing:

Pallabi was below then the required level in terms of problem analysis. She only managed a few,
partially achieved indicators (around 30%) but many were absent or were outweighed by

Strength: Pallabi showed good planning and organizing capability when asked how she
managed her extra curriculam activities as well as her good score; she said she always used to
take help from her friends and when she faced situations where she might miss classes, she
always talked to the teachers so that she can ask for help. In this way she
