This procedure was performed using a Vu+ solo 2 receiver with Black Hole 2.0.2 image
and a Computer with windows 7 (64bit) other Vu+ receivers and images may work differently
Part 1 Installing Black Hole image
What you need
1. Vu+ receiver
2. USB flash drive a minimum of 128MB which can be fully formatted
3. Computer with windows
Step 1: If you have a hard drive for your Vu+ receiver install it now Click Here if not please continue
Connect all necessary cables to your Vu+ receiver Ethernet/Network cable to your internet HDMI/SCART
to your TV & the cable from your LNB/dish etc..
Now connect the power cable but do not turn on your receiver at this time if your receiver is already all
connected up and running turn the power off with the switch on the back.
Step 2: Insert a USB flash drive into a USB port on your Computer and format it has Fat or Fat 32
I recommend you Sign up Here it's free & Download the latest Black Hole image for your Vu+ from Here
Make sure that you choose the correct model for your Vu+ receiver mine is Vu + solo 2
If you don't want to sign up or you have a clone download the latest image from Here
Step 3: Choose a location to save the .Zip file (Desktop is recommended) and Click "Save"
Step 4: "Right-Click" the .Zip file that you have just downloaded & Click "Extract All"

Step 5: Click "Browse"
Step 6: Select your USB flash drive has your destination and Click "OK" mine is Removable Disk (F:)
Step 7: Check your destination is correct & Click "Extract" to extract to the root of your USB flash drive
Step 8: Extracting may take 5-10 minutes to complete
Step 9: Now you should have a vuplus folder on the root of your USB drive in that your model Vu+ folder

Step 10: Take your USB drive to your Vu+ receiver and insert it into the front USB port on your receiver &
turn the power on your receiver with the switch on the back
Step 11: You should see a message appear on the front display, mine is Update, Press Power i Press Power
You follow the instructions on your front display, if you miss the message just power off & on at the back
Step 12: First boot after update setup your Vu+ Select Video Output mine is "HDMI" Press "OK"
Step 13: Select Video Output mine is "1080p" Press "OK" You Select the one that suit your TV

Step 14: Select Video Output i Select "No" to the test Press "OK" You can run the test if you like
Step 15: BH Welcome... Select your language mine is "English" Press "OK"
Step 16: BH Welcome...Start Press "OK"
Step 17: BH Welcome...Start i Select "Use wizard to set up basic features" Press "OK"

Step 18: BH Welcome...Start fixed single satellite dish "Simple", "Single", "your satellite" Press "OK"
Step 19: BH Welcome...Start motorised dish using USALS
First get your longitude & latitude info from Here by entering your post code
Example if i enter UK postal code: SE1 6JZ i get the following LON -0.1042 & LAT: 51.4979
Configuration Mode: Simple
Mode: Positioner
Longitude: 0.104 (Make sure you enter your own Longitude settings here)
WEST
Latitude: 51.497 (Make sure you enter your own Latitude settings here)
NORTH
Step 20: BH Welcome...Start if you have a tuner B setup now

Step 21: BH Welcome...Start i Select "No" to the default sat lists Press "OK" You can if you like
Step 22: BH Welcome...Start i Select "No, scan later manually" Press "OK"
Step 23: BH Welcome...Start i Select "No" to parental control Press "OK"

Step 25: BH Welcome...Net i Select "Yes" to Use Interface & DHCP Press "OK" this works for me
Step 26: BH Welcome...Net Press "OK"
Step 27: Press "Exit" to exit out of the Channel Selection to the main screen
Step 28: Press "Menu" in to BH Main Menu and Select "Setup" Press "OK"
Step 29: Select "System" Press "OK"
Step 30: Select "Timezone" Press "OK"
Step 31: Now select your "Timezone" Press "Green" to OK & save now exit back to the main screen

Part 2 Install Channel List
Step 1: Main screen using your remote Press "Green" then Press "Yellow" into BH Addons Manager
Step 2: Select "Addons Download Manager" Press "OK"
Step 3: Select "Black Hole Settings" Press "OK"
Step 4: Select a Channel List you want to install Press "OK" i select "Catseye Motor" a good list
Step 5: Press "Green" to Download
Step 6: When prompted "Do you want to install the Addon:" Press "Yes"
Then prompted with "Enigma2 will now be restarted to complete package installation" Press "OK"

Step 7: Now you have a Channel List, Repeat Part 2 to update to the latest channel list at anytime

Step 1: Main screen using your remote Press "Menu" into BH Main Menu & Select "Setup" Press "OK"
Step 2: Select "System" Press "OK"
Step 3: Select "Network" Press "OK"
Step 4: Select "Adapter settings" Press "OK"
Step 5: Now write down your IP Address & Exit back out to the main screen by Pressing "Exit"
Step 6: Now go back to your Computer with your "IP Address"
Step 7: Download VU+ Control Centre V0.6.zip from Here
Step 8: Choose a location to save the .Zip file (Desktop is recommended) and Click "Save"
Step 9: On your Desktop "Right-Click" the .Zip file that you have just downloaded & Click "Extract All"

Step 10: Click "Extract" to extract to your Desktop
Step 11: On your Desktop "Double Click" into the "VU+ Control Centre V0.6" folder
Step 12: Double Click"VUCC.exe" to run the program, prompted with "Security Warning" Press "Run"
Step 13: IP Address: Enter your Vu+ IP address from step 38, example "192.168.1.10"
Username: Enter "root"
Password: "leave it blank" if you have not changed the password on your Vu+ receiver,
WebControl Port: Enter "80"
FTP Port: Enter "21"
Telnet Port: Enter "23"
Click "Connect"

Step 14: Login successful. Click "IPK Installer"
Step 15: IPK Filename Click the "..." Button to select the local directory where the "ipk" file is located.
Step 16: Click "Desktop" Double Click into the "VU+ Control Centre V0.6" folder
Step 17: Select "enigma2-plugin-extensions-tspanel_**_mips32el.ipk" then Click "Open"

Step 18: Click "Upload and Install IPK File" to install TS Panel on your Vu+ receiver
Step 19: When prompted "plugin installed successfully * E2 restartnis required" Restart E2 Vu+
Step 20: On your Vu+ Press "Menu" into BH Main Menu & Select "Black Hole Shutdown" Press "OK"
Step 21: Select "Restart Enigma2" Press "OK" and wait for the Vu+ receiver to reboot
Step 22: Now you can start using TS Panel

Part 4 Install Cccam for C or N lines from TS Panel (optional)
Step 1: Main screen using your remote Press "Green" into Green Panel & Select "TSpanel" Press "OK"
Step 2: Select "Addons" Press "OK"
Step 3: Select "linuxsat_support_Addons" Press "OK"
Step 4: Select " { Cams - Blackhole 2 } " Press "OK/Green"

Step 5: Select the Cccam you want to install & Press "OK/Green" i Select "Cccam 2.2.1"
Step 6: When prompted "Execution finished" Press "Blue" to restart enigma wait for reboot
Step 7: Vu+ main screen Press "Blue" Blue Panel Use Left/Right to select a cam Press "OK" to start
Step 8: Back to your Computer & Double Click "VUCC.exe" to run VU+ Control Centre
Click "Connect" Now Click "FTP"

Step 9: When prompted "Welcome to FileZilla" Click "OK"
Step 10: In FileZilla on the Left side is your computer folders & the Right side is your Vu+ Receiver folders
Right side Click "/" folder then Click "etc" folder & Right-Click the "CCcam.cfg" & Click "View/Edit"
Step 11: Should open with notepad Right-Click "Select All"
Step 12: Press "Delete" on your keyboard

Step 13: Now your CCcam.cfg is empty you can add your C or N lines
Step 14: Now add your C or N lines, you can Copy/Paste to your CCcam.cfg.
Step 15: Click "File" and Click "Save" to save your lines to your CCcam.cfg.
Step 16: When prompted "File has changed" Click "Yes"

Part 5 EPG & CrossEPG Setup (optional)
Step 1: Main screen using your remote Press "Blue" into BH Blue Panel and Press "Red" EPG Panel
Step 2: Press "Red" Global Settings
Step 3: Enable the setting you want i have all Enable as shown below
Path to save Epg File: If you are using internal memory set it to: /media/cf/epg.dat
If you are using hard drive set it to: /hdd/epg.dat or if using USB drive set it to: /media/usb/epg.dat
Press "Red" to save

Step 4: Now Select "Rytec-SKYUK" and Press "Green" Provider Settings
Step 5: Press "Red" Settings,
Step 6: Enable Automatic EPG Refresh "yes"
Refresh EPG every day at time "04:00" enter a time that suits you for this action
Press "Red" to save

Step 7: Press "Yellow" Download now
Step 8: Epg Download complete. Press "Red" Close
Step 9: Press "Menu" into BH Main Menu and Select "Backup Menu" Press "OK"
Step 10: Select "BlackHole Epg Backup" Press "OK"

Path to save Backup Epg File: If you are using hard drive /media/hdd or using USB drive /media/usb
Press "Red" to save
Step 13: Now you have everything setup, if you lose your EPG just Press "Red" Restore in this menu
Setup CrossEPG recommend you to have a USB drive or hard drive install for this

Show as plugin "yes"
Show as extension "yes"
Show 'Force reload' as plugin "no"
Press "Red" to go Back

Part 7 Installing a Hard Drive (optional)
What you need
1. Vu+ receiver
2. SATA data and power cable supplied with your receiver
3. SATA hard drive 3.5 or 2.5 depending on your receiver
4. Screws and rubber grommets supplied with your receiver
5. Phillips screwdriver
Please be careful and take your time
Step 1: Unplug the Vu+ for several minutes before you begin the installation
Step 2: Take out the 3 screws on the back & the 2 on each side with your screwdriver & slide the top cover
towards the back to remove
Step 3: Take out the screws and remove the hard drive bracket
Step 4: Insert the rubber grommets supplied into the grooves on the hard drive bracket now place your hard
drive with the lable faced down on your work surface and place your bracket on top lining up the holes make
sure your hard drive power and SATA connections are facing in to the centre of the receiver and insert the
screws and tighten them up

Step 5: Place the hard drive bracket back in to the receiver line up the screw holes and insert the screws and
tighten them up
Step 6: Connect your SATA data & power cable supplied with your receiver to your hard drive
Step 7: Connect your SATA data & power cable to your main board has shown in the images below .
you can lay the cables where you like the images below is just an example
Step 8: Now replace the top cover on your receiver & insert all the screws & tighten them up
Step 9: Now go back to Part 1 to install the latest Black Hole image Click Here
Please note: if you have the latest Black Hole install you need to configure your hard drive Click Here

Part 8 Configure your hard drive
Step 1: Main screen using your remote Press "Menu" into BH Main Menu & Select "Setup" Press "OK"
Step 2: Select "System" Press "OK"
Step 3: Select "Hard drive" Press "OK"
Step 4: Select "Initialisation" Press "OK"
Step 5: Select your hard drive "ATA(######)" Press "OK"
Step 6: Press "Red" button to Initialise
Step 7: BH Message Select "yes" Press "OK"
