Communication
Hi Biswajit/Tonmoy,
I have discussed this issue with Prateek and senior colleagues
===CURRENT STATUS===
Discussed the issue internally
Please find my responses a s follows:
-As conveyed Win 2008 server has been upgraded to Win 2008 R2
enterprise edition.
-Business Objects was already installed and was running fine prior to
upgrade.
-Windows upgrade was a major upgrade.
-We don't have explicit backup of the CMS repository and File Store
folder, however we do have the snapshot of the OS on Virtual Machine.
-Post the upgrade SIA is missing from CCM.
-Previous processor already tried creating a new SIA, however it
failed everytime as the password for Administrator was not correct.
-You conformed that the processor of the other incident was able to
create a new SIA on restoring the database in our Test environment.
Proposed Soltuion:
-As disucssed the issue is may be from the CMS repository or due to
file system as a result of the OS upgrade.
-It might take us time to fix the current environment.
-Proposed to un-install Business Objects from the current environment
(With the backup of CMS repository and file store in place).
-Re-insatll a fresh copy of the same version of Business Objects.
-Restore the CMS database and the file store folder.
-Above steps will save us time as well.
Let me know how you want us to proceed on this
Note: We always recommend to take a backup of CMS Database and the
fil
Store folder prior to any upgrade.
Let me know in case of queries.

HI Pooja
Did you check with Khusbhu and try to find next steps on the alternate
path?
Thanks & Regards
AICS Basis Support
Hi Tanmoy/Vishwajit,
Called you to discuss on the issue and conducted net viewer session.
Current Status:
Discussed on next action plan.
Technical Details & Communications:
-As discussed you have upgraded the O.S. i.e. windows.
-After the upgrade SIA was deleted.
-Due to this it is not accepting the login to CMS.
-Also you have tried the note which explains how to reset admin
password.
-But as SIA is not present this cannot be done.
Next Steps:
-As conveyed on call I and my colleague Prateek discussed the issue
with our senior colleagues.
-Since we have already tried creating the SIA with your database in
house and the same is not happening on your environment we feel this
is O.S. level issue.
-Therefore working on the existing environment will be time consuming
and complex too.
-We suggest uninstalling and re-installing BO is the correct path for
resolving the issue.
-It will consume less time.
-You can discuss the same with your team.
Let me know in case of queries.
Regards,
Pooja Marathe
