EMPLOYMENT
CORNER
TIP OF THE MONTH:
How to Avoid Job Scams
• Don’t work with an employer that will hire
you without even a phone interview.
• Never give your bank account, PayPal,
credit card or Social Security numbers to an
employer who you are not sure of.
• Do your own research on the employer.
• Never put your National Identification or
Driver’s license number on your resume
• Do not put your date of birth on your
resume.
• How to know if “work from home jobs” are
real?
o Envelope stuffing/assembly work/
medical billing or claims processing-
VERY few real jobs for these that
could be done from home. If you see
jobs like these where you can work
from home- they are probably FAKE.
o If work at home employers asks for
your money first before you start
work, that’s a scam.
o What questions to ask?
! What do I have to do? Have
them explain every step.
! Will I be paid a salary or on
commission?
Need help finding a job?
Having problems at your job
and need advice?

Contact me and I can help.
