Palm Beach Public Orchestral String Foundation
P.O. Box 2825 Palm Beach, Florida 33480

Letter from our Past Board President:
It has been a pleasure serving as President of the Palm Beach
Public Orchestral Strings Foundation. Over the past five years, the
Foundation has grown from an idea to a vital part of the Palm Beach
Public community. The Strings in the Spring concert held his past
March best illustrates the impact the Foundation has had on our
school. Not only does the concert raise money for and awareness
of the Strings Program but it has also become a significant event for
families to socialize and celebrate the excellence of our Strings
Program. Through the Foundation's efforts, we have enhanced our
students' music education, provided numerous playing
opportunities, and promoted the Strings Program. The Foundation
has brought world renowned orchestras, such as the Cleveland
Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra, into our school to provide
instruction for our Advanced Strings students. Additionally, for the
past two years, the Foundation has arranged for the Advanced
Strings students to perform at the Kravis Center's Beyond the Stage
Performance. Finally, the Foundation has reached out to local
media to ensure the Strings Program is in the public eye on a
regular basis.
There are many parents who have given much time, energy and
money to get the Foundation to where it is today. Through their
effort, they have created Foundation's website and marketing video,
formed a grant application process, launched the Strings in the
Springs concert, organized fundraising events, and attended to the
business of the Foundation.
Although the Foundation has accomplished a great deal over the
last five years, there is much more to be done. Under the direction
of incoming Foundation President, Henry Paret, we are poised for
great success in the future. With a clear direction, strong board and
financial stability, Henry will guide the Foundation to prominence in
the community, which will ensure that the Strings Program will
continue to flourish well into the future.
Thank you again for allowing me to serve as the Foundation
President over the last five years.

William T. Abel
