We've had visiting OAC
evangelist Lew Myer
with us last week and
he has ministered very
effectively at Bible in
Schools and at Shirley's Home Group.
In fact his example has inspired me
personally in the area of evangelism an
area we all wrestle with as Christians. I
hope to have him back in the future for
some wider ministry. On another note I
have been elected as the Chairperson
of the local Minister's Association for a
year, something I have managed to
avoid for many years.
INVITE PEOPLE HOME FOR A
POTLUCK MEAL - SUN 5th of JULY
The Wardens and vicar are keen to
promote an even greater sense of
community within the parish and have
designated Sunday the 5th of July as
day when everyone in the parish is
encouraged to either host or be a guest
at a potluck meal with other
parishioners. There will be sheets at
the back of each church where you can
indicate whether you want to be a host

or whether you simply want to be a
guest. Please fill these in over the next
few weeks. Liaise with the hosts re:

POTLUCK HOSPICE DINNER
On Sat 20th June at 4:30pm there will
be a potluck dinner at the Uniting
Church Hall with entertainment by the
Cowboy Capers. All donations go to
the West Coast Home Hospice. So
come aong and enjoy a fun night of
food and rollicking entertainment.
NEW VICARS
Bishop Richard is delighted to
announce that Rev Don Moses has
accepted a letter of offer to be the next
Vicar of St Christopher’s, Blenheim
South starting 29th September 2009.
And that Rev Steve Wockner has
accepted a letter of offer to be the next
Vicar of Westport. Steve will be
inducted on 23rd September at 7pm in
Westport.
