Rule 29 In order to declare pass a student must secure 33 %
marks in each of the subject studied by him /her subject to the
condition that:
1. He/She secures 33 % marks separately in theory and
practical portion
2. The promotion is also subject to the condition that a
minimum of 25% marks should be secured in the comprehensive
test i.e. annual
3. A student will have to obtain the required passing marks in
any two of the three languages in order to get promoted
Note: While calculating 25 % or 33 % the benefit of fraction will go the
credit of the student

Example
Rule 35 Grace marks upto maximum of 10 in all shall be awarded to a
student to enable him/her to reach the minimum required of 33% of marks in
each of the subject provided:
A minimum of 25 % of marks is secured in each of the subject at the
comprehensive test as per Rule 29
Maximum marks to be granted in one subject are 5
No grace marks are awarded to students taking compartmental examination
Rule 32 Compartmental Examination
A student who has appeared in comprehensive exam but is not
eligible for promotion to next class is eligible for appearing in the
compartmental examination provided:
He/She has secured atleast 20 % marks in 1 or 2 failing
subjects i.e. (20 or more out of 100)
OR
Incase the Candidate gets atleast 15 % of marks in two failing
subjects (i.e. cases where marks are >=15 but <20) and 40 % marks
in aggregate in the remaining subjects, he/she is also eligible for
appearing in compartmental examination
Rule 17 Medical Cases
Incase a student is unable to appear in one or more subject on medical grounds in
1. Comprehensive exam: Students are allowed to take the exam in those
subjects along with the compartmental students. Rules of compartmental exams will
be applicable i.e. student will have to obtain 33 % marks in the examination w/o any
grace marks or addition of terminal examination marks.
