ST3049 - Infrared remote control decoder RC5
The main function of the ST3049 is to check and convert the
received coded data (RC5) into latched binary outputs.
Received data with any address will be accepted; the
received data and address are then outputs.

Accepts RC5 codes with bi-phase transmission (SAA3006,
SAA3010, PT2210 and similar transmitters). This chip is
functionally equivalent to SAA3049 and TDA3048 which are
now discontinued.

CA is command acknowledge pin output
When a valid RC5 frame is received and new
data is updated on output, this pin goes low for
50ms.

T0 is TOGGLE bit output
This bit toggles each time a new key is pressed.
That allows identifying between holding down a
key and pressing a key twice or more.

D0 to D5 are COMMAND bits outputs
Six bits of information output on which key is
pressed. Up to 64 keys are supported with
these six bits.

A0 to A4 are ADDRESS bits outputs
Five address bits outputs (0=TV, 20=CD, ...).

About RC5 Protocol
Philips adopted or created the RC5 standard that uses fixed bit length and fixed quantity of bits.

Each time you press a button at the Philips remote control, it sends a train of 14 bits, 1.728ms per
bit, the whole train is repeated every 130ms if you keep the button pressed. A toggle bit is sent with
data which has information if they key is kept pressed or same key is pressed twice.
