SubmitSMS ejb because of the improper way the RetryQueueReceiver object creates the SubmitSMS
object. After SubmitSMS throws the runtime IllegalArgumentException, the container will delete it. The next
time
RetryQueueReceiver will try to send an SMS it will throw a runtime NoSuchObjectException with the reason
"Bean has been deleted". The container will delete this bean as well. The next message which will be fed
into the retry mechanism will trigger the creation of a new RetryQueueReceiver object and the cycle
repeats.

Please note that this happens only when the link to the servlet in NACS cannot be established for one
reason or another. It will not occur when all the SMS system components are present and running.

Solution:

To correct the problem, the only thing that needs to be done is to change the order of 2 function calls in the
ejbCreate method of the RetryQueueReceiver object.

Description

1. Login to a subscriber's account via the 9210 phone
2. Turn off the phone without logging out
3. Verify via Web Admin that the disconnection was written to the log file

When I was doing the preceding steps I found that disconnection was not written to the log file. Then I
turned the phone on and on the 9210 phone screen I saw the message "The connection to the Internet has
been interrupted. Would you like to reconnect?" I reconnected and after that I was in my TGW Multimedia
Album without logging in. It means that when the 9210 was turned off the subscriber wasn't logged out from
the account. After the phone was turned on, subscriber can continue working with his album. This isn't
secure.

ALSO: When testing WAP inactivity timeout (and log out) using the 9210 I got the same message about
reconnecting to the Internet above and could again access the account without logging back in.

12/11/2001 tested timeout for Siemens S 40 phone and had the same results.

Priority

Created

Description

The Nokia 3330 works differently than the 7190. It does not have the left (Options) & right
(Back) buttons that the 9170 has. The 3330 has a single (Options) button in the middle. The 3330 has
'Back" as one of the Options menu items, so Back functionality is not lost. But the 3330 also has many
Options that are not TGW options and have no TGW functionality.

Another difference using the 3330 is that when selecting a link there is a 'Select' Option instead of a 'Follow
Link' Option.

Another difference is that from some screens there is no Main Menu Option.

Another difference is that when selecting MMs for multideletion there is only a single 'Mark'/'Unmark' button
– there is not a second 'Ok' button. So after selecting MMs to delete the user has to press the left button
with a "C" on it. (Clear) that does not have a menu item above it.

Resolution

508 WAP: User settings do not show current e-mail address (Web app does)

Priority
Medium

Visible to End User
Yes

Created
20/9/01

Description

If a subscriber accesses My Settings via Web, the e-mail address is listed and can be changed. The WAP's
User Settings allows the user to change password and e-mail address but the current e-mail address is not
shown. If the subscriber changes the e-mail address and then returns to User settings during the same
WAP session and selects Change Email, the changed e-mail address is shown in the "Enter an e-mail
address" field, but if the subscriber logs off and logs back on and accesses that screen again, the Enter an
e-mail address" field is again empty. I think the Enter an e-mail address" field should always show the
current e-mail address (if any).

When the Configuration screen is accessed from the Admin page, there is a dialog box that

be empty with no indication at all that the page has not finished loading the parameters.
Also, when the "Events" tab is accessed from the configuration page, there is no dialog box
indicating that the page is loading. The page appears to be blank.
Resolution

This will be fixed in TGW R2.
