If you're serious about professional scuba instruction, and want to be more than an instructor

(perhaps work in PADI Instructor Development Centers/Career Development Centers, own your
own PADI dive center/resort, or progress to becoming a PADI Course Director yourself), then
the Staff Instructor course is the next logical step for you as a PADI Instructor. PADI IDC Staff
Instructors are PADI Instructors moving towards instructor-level training or teaching the
Instructor Development Course (IDC). IDC Staff Instructors can independently train and certify
PADI Assistant Instructors as well as help train PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors.

Oceans 5 dive resort is conducting every month PADI IDC Staff Instructor Courses at Gili Air,

Named for its staggering number of corals (nearly 600 different species of reef-building corals

species of reef fish.
