POLITICAL SCIENCE MAJOR
MAJOR MODERN POLITICAL SYSTEM

Political System, the set of formal legal institutions that constitute a ‘government’. The term
comprehends actual as well as prescribed forms of Political behaviour, of only the legal
organitation of the state but also the reality of how the state functions. The Political system is
seen as a set of “Process of interaction: or as a subsystem of the social system interacting
with other non political sub systems.

A Comparative study of the Pol. System of the major countries of the world will enable a
student, who comes to learn about the functioning of the various forms of govt., to form an
opinion as to which of the Pol. Sstem is worth adoption and which circumstances the
congenial to the blossoming of a particular Pol. System.

For the convenience of the students, each Pol. System is being brought out separatly. This will
help cater to the varied needs of students.
