Parent Meetings
All parents and close family members are
invited to monthly parent meetings. The co-
directors will give updates and state of the
school talks. There will be time for questions
and answers.








Lets Learn About Families

This week in Kindergarten:
ELA: Well begin Unit 1: Families. Well
continue reviewing the alphabet and focus on
the letter Mm. Well learn one new sight
word: we. In comprehension, well be
focusing on making predictions and using
illustrations to understand and retell stories.

Math: We will start Chapter 1: Sort and
Classify. Well cover sorting, same and
different and equal groups. This are all key
vocabulary terms we will use.
Tip of the week: To know a letter, sight word,
number is to really understand it across contexts.
Practice counting, comparing and sorting a
variety of objects with your child. Practice letters,
sight words and numbers on flash cards, but also
in books, with games and out in public such as
grocery stores and street signs.

This Thursday is Back to School Night.
Please plan to be here at 5pm for a
brief presentation by your childs
teacher. After that, you are welcome to
check out the room and see what weve
been working on. Please limit questions
to general topics for all families.
Conferences can be set up for
individual student concerns.
