Comrades,

Another summer has come and
gone. I hope you all enjoyed
the beautiful weather and
accomplished many tasks or
just went fishing.

This fall is going to be a busy
one. We have a few events
coming up that the VFW is
hosting and partnering with our
other service organizations.

On September 26th the Clay
County Veterans Service
Office will be hosting a
Veterans Conference at the
VFW starting at 11 am and
going to 4 pm.

This conference will have
presenters from all aspects of
Veteran Services presenting on
the ins and outs and how-tos of
multiple Veterans issues and
services. Please feel free to
join us. Lunch will also be
served compliments of Beyond
the Yellow Ribbon Moorhead.

There will also be a fund raiser
in October; as usual I will be
cooking Mulligan Stew on
Veterans Day. Stop on in for
Bingo, Pull Tabs, or Horse
Racing.

Thank you all for your service,

Joe Butler

Dear Auxiliary Sisters,

Well, a new year has started. Im
looking forward to working with
J oe Butler, our new Commander. I
know well have a great year. Id
like to thank all my auxiliary
sisters for taking on several
chairmanships.

I want to invite all the Sisters to
come to our meetings, theyre held
on the first Monday of the month
at 6pm. Its a way for us to get
together and discuss how we can
support our Veterans. Fall can get
busy, but if we could take some
time out of our schedules for them,
its our way to say Thank you to
them.

Lynette Andel has resigned as
being our kitchen coordinator. Id
like to get a committee together to
organize any parties that get
booked at our post home. Id like
you sisters to consider being a part
of this committee. If you need
more information please feel free
to contact me at 701-388-1563.
The money received from these
parties helps fund our donations
given to the veterans.

Remember some gave all and all
gave some.

A quick reminder - that since the
first Monday of September falls on
Labor Day our meeting will be
held on September 2nd at 6pm.

Sincerely,

Joann Lien
Auxiliary President

Salutations:

I hope that the summer season
has been good to this point. We
ended the month of J uly with
some fun, participating in the
Dilworth Loco Days parade
throwing candy. Thank you to
the J unior Girls for joining us in
the action, although you
showed us guys just how slow
we are getting!

With September rolling in soon,
so will our pancake breakfasts.
We always look forward to
seeing our patrons when we
come back over summer break
and if you havent been to one
yet, come on down! Its hard to
beat out the size of breakfast for
our price.

As just a reminder, membership
dues need to be submitted soon,
whether mailed or given at the
time of the meeting. The
earlier we get them done, the
faster we can get the cards for
the new year.

I hope this letter finds all of you
well, and hope to see you at the
Post sometime in the near
future.

Respectfully Submitted,

Troy D. Winter
Mens Auxiliary President
