OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS OF CNC LATHE TRAINER KIT

CNC CUTVIEWER SOFTWARE:

Hytech has built its own CNC controller for CNC Lathe .All the software and hardware for CNC
Lathe is indigenously developed and tested according to industry norms. Software for controlling
the CNC machine is written in VC & VB languages.

Software is WINDOWS based as real time control of hardware is developed in Windows based
system. The master controller in this system is the PC itself. Software is user friendly and allows
the user to use Pointing device for selection of menus and parameters. It is developed as a full
GUI package.

In CNC lathe Machine, the control of each operation is controlled by the computer

SOFTWARE CUTVIEWER TURN V3.2

CutViewer Turn: CutViewer Turn V3.1 is an easy to use program that graphically
displays the material removal process for turning operations in 2 axes. Based on the
stock statements and tool definitions, CutViewer will show you exactly what material
will be removed from a raw stock.

STEPS INVOLVED IN OPERATING CNC LATHE TRAINER KIT

CNC PROGRAMMING BASICS

A CNC program is composed of a series of sequential instructions related to the machining of a
part. Each instruction is specified in a format the CNC system can accept, interpret and process.
Each instruction must also conform to the machine tool specifications.

This input method of a program can bee defined as an arrangement of the machining and related
instructions, written in the format of CNC system and aimed at a particular machine tool.
Various controls have a different format, but most are similar. Subtle differences exist among
CNC machines from different manufacturers, even those equipped with the same control system.
This is common, considering the specific demands individual machine builders place upon the
control manufacturer to accommodate many original and unique machine design features. Such
variations are usually minor but still important for programming.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS OF CNC LATHE TRAINER KIT

Never attempt to machine a work piece without first checking the operation of the trainer.
Before starting a trainer, ensure that the trial run is ok by operating the trainer with neither a tool
nor work piece mounted.
Operating the trainer with incorrect data may result in damage to the work piece & trainer
or injury to the user.
Before attempting to perform programming, read this manual carefully to operate the
trainer safely.
Coordinate setting is very important factor while operating the CNC trainer. Incorrect
coordinates may damage the tool, the machine, or user.
When performing positioning, the tool path must be carefully confirmed before
performing programming.
Before giving numerical i/p command determine the current position of the tool & work
piece & ensure the axis, direction & command have been specified correctly & the entered
values are valid.
