Herbert Bayer
Herbert Bayer was a multi-talented individual who worked in such fields as graphic design, fine art, photography and architecture. He studied at Bauhaus for four years before being appointed director of printing and advertising by Walter Gropius. He is most famous for implementing the usage of strictly lower case and san serif fonts in all Bauhaus publications and the invention of the Universal typeface.
