Godly Exercise Read 1Timothy 4:7-9 KJV v.7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. v.8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. v.9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. What does it mean to exercise godliness? _________________________________________________________________ Are you exercising godliness? _________________________________________________________________ Why is it that the Bible says bodily exercise profits little? _________________________________________________________________ These are all questions that we need to ask ourselves! Let’s look at the last one.

Page 3

Being holy is going to be worth the wait!!!! Warning of the unholy first: Lev. 20:6-8 v. 6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a-whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people. v. 7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God. v. 8 And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the Lord which sanctify you. One of the Commandments: Ex. 20:8-10 v. 8 Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. v. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: v. 10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: ---Think about it: Is it in our best interest to keep the commandments of the Lord if we desire to be holy?
