Take the Initiative!
Too many of us are waiting for someone to come along and tell us what to do next. The story's told of a man who was employed by a duke and duchess. One day he was called in to speak to his employer. 'James, how long have you been with us?' asked the Duchess. 'About 30 years, Your Grace,' he replied. 'As I recall, you were employed to look after the dog,' she said. 'Yes, Your Grace.' 'James, that dog died 27 years ago,' said the Duchess. 'Yes, Your Grace,' said James, 'What would you like me to do now?' Why do we fail to take the initiative? Because we don't realise the consequences of our inaction. Solomon writes: 'Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest - and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man. (Pr 6:611). Whatever we do - or neglect to do - always catches up with us. Those who procrastinate end up like the man in playwright James Albery's verse: 'He slept beneath the moon, he baked beneath the sun. He lived a life of going-to-do; and died with nothing done.' Paul writes: 'God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well' (Ro 12:6 TLB). Knowing your ability is one of the keys to understanding life's assignment. But you can only plan and prepare for so long, then you've got to take action!

So please join in with many other believers to intercede for our nation, for God's glory alone.

Last Outing: WOL Kick-Off
Saturday 15th was a fun-filled slip-slide n' tag event. After having a bite to eat, we gathered together to hear God's message of Salvation. Many realised they needed God in their lives and the reality of death. 32 young people gave their lives to Christ that night, making the whole night/event so special. It's great to see God working amongst us. Let's remember to bring our friends next time and continue to pray for them.

Next Outing: What is Koorong Day on 19th April?
We will be heading down to Koorong on 19th April to bag a few spiritual bargains, meeting 10 am at church. In an effort to encourage you to get into Christian books, $20 will be chipped in for your total purchase. Get a book that is related to you, and get into it!
