The Pac-12 posted has posted a winning re-
cord outside league for 30 consecutive sea-
sons . . . The Pac-12 recorded a 37-9 record
in non-conference action last season, post-
ing the most wins ever outside of conference
play. Since 1934, only one other season wit-
nessed the Conference capture more than 29
wins in non-league play - 2002 (32-15) when
the league played an eight game conference
schedule, allowing an additional 10 non-con-
ference games to be played.
PAC-12 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSE: Cayleb Jones, WR, Arizona
DEFENSE: Gionni Paul, LB, Utah
SPECIAL TEAMS: Andy Phillips, PK, Utah
SAN FRANCISCO - Wide receiver Cayleb Jones of ARIZONA, linebacker Gionni Paul of UTAH and kicker
Andy Phillips of UTAH have been named offensive, defensive and special teams Pac-12 Players of the Week
in football.
Jones, a sophomore from Austin, Texas, gave the Wildcats life in a 22-point second-half rally to stun Cali-
fornia, 49-45, in Tucson. Jones hauled in a career-high 13 receptions for 186 yards and three second-half
touchdowns, including a pair of scoring grabs in the fourth quarter. Jones had nine catches for 127 yards
and 3 TD in second half alone (5-59, 2 TD in fourth quarter). His two fourth quarter touchdown grabs (16
and 15 yards) brought UA within eight and two-point margins to keep the hopes for Austin Hill’s winning Hail
Mary catch alive. Of Jones’ 13 catches, nine resulted in frst downs or touchdowns. The 13 receptions are
second-most in school single-game history, one shy of Jeremy McDaniel’s record of 14 set against California
in 1996. McDaniel’s performance came in a four-overtime affair, leaving Jones’ 13-catch output as the most
in regulation.. The 186 receiving yards for Jones set a new career-high and rank No. 12 in single-game
history at Arizona. Jones topped the 100-yard mark for the third-straight game.
Paul, a junior from Winter Haven, Fla., made his frst appearance as a Ute since transferring from Miami
(Fla.), and helped Utah take down Michigan on the road, 26-10. Paul, a redshirt last year who missed the
frst two games of this season while recovering from a foot injury suffered in the spring, had a game-high 14
tackles at Michigan, along with an interception and a fumble recovery. In the fourth quarter, his interception
stopped Michigan’s frst drive. Much later, after a two-hour, 24-minute weather delay, he recovered a fumble
to halt the Wolverines on their frst series out of the break. Paul led a Utes defense that never allowed the
Michigan offense to enter the red zone.
Phillips, a sophomore from Draper, Utah, accounted for more than half of Utah’s points in its 26-10 win over
Michigan, making 4-of-5 feld goals and 2-of-2 PATs for a total of 14 points. His clutch performance in the
Big House featured makes from 35, 38, 48 and 50 yards. His only miss came after a lengthy rain delay, when
his 41-yard attempt bounced off the upright. Phillips became the frst Ute to make four feld goals in a game
since 2011 (Coleman Peterson). Phillips also had fve touchbacks on six kickoffs.
Also nominated for Offensive Player of the Week: Nelson Spruce, WR, COLO; Sean Mannion QB, OSU; Con-
nor Halliday, QB, WSU; Also nominated for Defensive Player of the Week: Scooby Wright III, LB, ARIZ; Greg
Henderson, CB, COLO; Michael Doctor, LB, OSU; Jeremiah Allison, LB, WSU; Also nominated for Special

port of a new sexual assault awareness campaign unveiled by the White House.
The campaign, entitled “It’s On Us,” is focused on preventing sexual assault by
inviting everyone to realize that the solution begins with us. The campaign urges
everyone to visit ItsOnUs.org to take the It’s On Us Pledge and make a personal
commitment to being a part of the effort.
• To recognize that non-consensual sex is sexual assault.

PAC-12 FOOTBALL WEEKLY RELEASE // September 22, 2014 7
PAC-12 BOWL ARRANGEMENTS - 2014-15
The Pac-12 is in the frst year of a six-year agreement with seven bowl partners that should provide the Conference with a competitive post-
season bowl experience. The lineup is led by the Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual, which is the destination for the Pac-12
champion. In addition to the Rose Bowl, Pac-12 bowl partners include the Valero Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, the National University Holiday
Bowl in San Diego, the San Francisco Bowl, the Hyundai Sun Bowl in El Paso, the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl, and the Cactus Bowl in Tempe.
In 2014-15, the Rose Bowl Game is slotted as one of the College Football Playoff semifnal games. If no Pac-12 team was in the top four of the
College Football Playoff poll following the 2014 season it would not have a team in the Rose Bowl. The displaced Pac-12 Champion and any
other Pac-12 team ranked high enough would fll a berth in the other four bowls (Orange, Atlanta, Fiesta and Cotton Bowls). When the Rose
Bowl does not host a semifnal game, the Pac-12 champion would play in the Rose Bowl unless it was ranked in the top four and would play in
one of the semifnal games. The Pac-12 would back-fll the Rose Bowl game if the Pac-12 champion was in the top four and playing in one of
the semifnal games.

ii. Any games that are exempted from counting against the annual maximum number of football contests per NCAA rules (current
Bylaw 17.9.5.2) shall not be included.
6. Coin toss.
Multiple-Team Ties.
In the event of a tie for a division championship between more than two teams, the following procedure shall be used to eliminate all but two tied
