I cannot use my Sprint cell phone. 5 weeks ago it worked perfectly, but for the last 5
weeks I have been unable to place or recieve phone calls and I can barely send texts. I
have contacted Sprint several times, even asked to be let out of my contract due to the
fact that I am a single mother and am unable to call 911 if anything were to happen.
Sprint refuses to let me out of my contract without paying a $350 fee and they have told
me time and again that there is nothing they can do to correct the issue and if I want to
make a phone call I should leave my house to make it. Their customer service people
are rude and unhelpful and have refused to give me the phone number to their corporate
headquarters. I don't know what else to do other than to tell everyone I know NEVER to
have anything at all to do with Sprint. They discounted ONE of my bills by $43 and
refuse to give anymore discounts even though I am unable to use the phone I pay for.

Sprint is refusing to fix the towers in my area, leaving me stranded to make emergency
calls.l Tried to make an emergency call in November for an ambulance, i had horrible
stomach pains and could not walk. My husband had to actually pickme up and take me
to the hospital. Then last night i have no service at all and i tried to dial 9 11 just to see if
they would fix it....NOTHINGHUl have called them many times and they keep giving me
the run around
I actually called them many times before complaining; last time i called was this morning
and they have not tried to help with the problem.

I have been advised by TMobile that the tower is down and will take 72 Hours to restore,
the service after more than 72 hours was not restored, I was never provided an ETA nor
was I advised the account would be without ANY service for more than the time provided.
No one has responded to my trouble tickets and escalated concerns regarding the
towers. I pay for a service that has not worked and I was never notified there would be
outages in my area, I was never advised at the time of the initial start of the services that
this would even be an issue of Towers needing maintenance. I was never informed of an
adequate solution to not even being able to dial 911 in an EMERGENCY.

The DuraXT requires full DATA access for the handset to operate properly. Sprint has
blocked DATA at the handset instead of their networkgateway to the Internet, to prevent
web use. This has prevented the handset from working properly, it can not do a firmware
or PRL update, I get DATA errors preventing the making and receiving of calls and the
push2talkservice does not function either. This has been going on since October 2012
and my breaking point occured last night when I could not complete a call to 9 11 after a
major vehicle accident. This effects LIFE SAFETY.
I was migrated from the Nextel IDEN networkto Sprint's CDMA networkwith the promise
that I would have all the services I was getting on Nextel now on Sprint at a reduced
price. This was around Oct. 2012, The service has not worked properly since I was put
on the CDMA network. Sprint has created a plan to match the services from my Nextel
account. They have blocked what I believe is NAI DATA or DATA at the handset. They
fail to understand that this handset is fully digital and any interaction between this
handset and the networkis using DATA. The voice call is converted to a digital stream
using a CODEC and the voice call is made using DATA, the firmware update is DATA,
the text message is DATA. This phone handset also uses DATA for normal
communication with the networkfor connectivity messages and status. Because DATA is
blocked I can not reliably make or receive calls or Push2Talk. I was unable to call 911 on
11/24/2013 at 6:25PM6:27PMafter a car accident, my LIFESAFTY at risk
As stated above I am having problems with reliable operation of my phone on the Sprint
networkdue to the blocking of DATA at the handset. On Nov.24, 2013 I tried to call 911
after a car accident. The phone displayed a data error 3000, I was able to clear it and
dialed 911 again, the screen showed a red banner indicating Emergency Mode, and the
911 did not complete, I repeated this multiple times and finally got the call to go through.
This is entirely due to the phone not operating in a stable mode due to DATA being
blocked. Sprint will not resolve this and have transfered me between cust. service and
tech support since Oct. 2012! I have paid for services that I do not receive, this is
FRAUD.

My cell phone is not working at my home I found this out when I arrived home from out of
town on 9/12 I had to make a 911 call after finding my deckall smashed, call would not
go thru I then had to drive to the police department. Numerous calls & hours over 4 days
have gotten nowhere with Sprint my phone is still not working at my home & in other
parts of the Belmont. This is NOT a problem with my phone 2 contractors(for deckest.)
with Sprint had same problem yet two others who have Verison phones worked just finel
Last call to Sprint talked to supervisor name Randy said he would call me backin 24
hours, he did but left no message. And when I called the number he gave me & askfor
Randy no one knew who he was. Randy also said there was nothing Sprint could or
would do about this. I still cannot use my phone at my home. It will say Call Failed Signal
Failed BUT there is a signal of 3 to 5 bars each time. I have NEVER had this problem
where I live. Can you HELP?!?!?!

I was in Las Vegas, nv for the weekend, while driving down a main highway there, there
was a emergency on the highway, and try to call 911 ,but when I did, I get a message that
call could not be complete, please hang up and try again, so I hung up and dial it again,
and I got same message. At point, I try again, and got the same message. So I got my
wife phone, and she has the same service as me, and I try to dial from her phone, and I
got the same message. I had a strong tower, so I dial 0, and try to sprint agent, but I was
told by the agent, to hang up and dial 911, I told the agent that I could not and the agent
state that they was not able to dial 911, and have to dial a local police station public
number, however the agent could not find one. I hang up and dial a friend that was lived
in the area, and they had to dial 911 from their cell phone. I know that I had a tower,
because I was able to dial a sprint agent and dial a friend. Sprint and the FCC needs to
address this issue

I was in Las Vegas, NV on business & called 9 -1-1 on my Sprint cell phone to report an
emergency. The call did not go through and a recorded message said it was not
available. When I returned to my home in Indiana, I called Sprint and they said that it was
not their problem ('The issue is not on the Sprint end. Please speakto 911 authorities to
report the issue. I would suggest to you to take the matter up to authorities to avoid such
cases in future." I have a complete copy of the transcript. Sprint confirmed that I made
the call ten times during the emergency. I subsequently filed a complaint with Internal
Affairs at the Las Vegas PD. DeL Jim Bozekcalled me immediately to tell me that both T -
Mobile & Sprint informed the Las Vegas Police IN WRITING that they were unable to
complete 9-1-1 calls. Consequently, Sprint provided me with false information and
exposed the public to great riskby not informing their customers.They placed profits over

I am the vocational counselor at a non-profit company called Stepping Stones. I train
developmentally disabled adults for employment. On 9/3, one of the consumers had an
asthma attack. He had ran out of medicine. He was crying and panicking, which was
making his breathing worse. I called 911. The address is in SAN
LEANDRO, not OAKLAND. We are 4 blocks away from the Oakland border. When I gave
the dispatcher the address, she insisted that the city was Oakland. I said no, it's San
Leandro. I was told that an ambulance would be arriving shortly. 10 minutes later, we
located an inhaler and the asthma attackwas under control. I called 911 to cancel. They
said they were at the location. I said that they couldn't be because there wasn't an
ambulance at the scene. Someone asked if I was atW. MacArthur BIvd.(10 miles away).
I said we are in San Leandro. This incident is worrisome because of the fact that we have
a very vulnerable population.

Mobile is mostly dead in my whole apartment building. lye complained to T-Mobile about
the lackof coverage in this location (in downtown Chicago, no less) and they refuse to do

Unable to make or complete 2 attempts at 911. Called to report it, only to be told that it
had been down for a few days. Sprint insists that their terms of service hold them
unaccountable for this.
I contacted T Mobile since I have just moved and have no service whatsoever within a
multi-mile radius, nor do any of the other two lines on my account.
I asked to transfer service and after wasting time with a foreign-accented non-customer
service rep, I was transferred to Technical Support who verified that there is no service at
my location; it is a known issue with no resolution date.
I spoke with an account rep and finally a supervisor who refused to waive a termination
fee. They declared that their contract state that they can continue charging a fee as well
as an early termination fee even though no service is available.
This practice should become designated as illegal. It would be impossible for me to carry
on business or daily life or even call 911 if needed.
Unable to access basic services or contact emergency services if needed.

When going to sleep on Thursday evening cell phone service worked 100%, Friday
morning NOTHING. We can not even dial 911 for emergency service because suddenly
there is NOreception at all. Calls to cell providers offered no results as they say we
never had coverage to begin with but I have had my service for 6 years in the same
location. My household has 5 phone with 3 different providers and NONE of them have
service. It's like there is something totally blocking all signals in this area.

When activated on a handset, Automatic area code in some android phones, including
the Samsung Galaxy S4 allows the user to dial a number without having to dial the area
code. This is a useful feature for users wishing to use the keypad for numbers not in
their contact list. The problem is that the phone software does not checkfor the national
number length, i.e., for the U.S. 10 digits, before appending the keypad dialed number to
the default "auto area code" Thus with this auto area code feature turned on, when a
user wishes to dial a three digit number such as 411, 311, 611, or 911, the auto area
code feature prepends the area code and what goes out to the networkis e.g., 443-411,
443-311, or 443-911, etc. Thus the three digit special numbers fail on the network. This
could be a fatal problem in the case of an emergency. The handset's auto area code
software should be fixed to checkfor the national number length before prepending the
area code to the user dialed number.

My vehicle was hit by another vehicle at approximately 14:l5cst on 6/1 2113 and my
phone service through Verizon would not allow me to contact 911. I was in Springfield,

I got robbed at gun point just outside my home today, tuesdayjune 18, 2013. at
approximately 6:18pm. As i attempted to call 911 several times my phone wouldn't
accept the 911 calls. I have an Iphone 4s with AT&T. I have never had to make an
emergency call but i never expected my phone not to make 911 calls. Due to not being
able to make the police call I wasnt able to notify the cops of where the subject was at.
Once the subject seen me he left and completely got away. If my phone would've worked
the subject would've been arrested and we wouldnt got our property back. I am just upset
and frustrated that my phone that never gives me problems wouldnt make a simple
emergency call to 911. Its unacceptable to pay for a smart phone service that doesnt
accept 911 calls. I made 4 attempts and none went through. The phone wouldn't allow
the call to go through. Another person with an iphone from verizon had to make the call.

My Verizon cell phone service was unavailable from approximately 11:30 am until 2:15
pm on May 3, 2013. During this time I was the victim of a domestic assault and could not
use my phone to dial 911. The incident occured at an elementary school where I was
able to borrow a teachers phone. Meanwhile, my sister (who is on the same account)
contacted Verizon to inquire about the lackof service and she was told our phones had
been "hacked".

The reason why rn making this Complain is first, I was told by sprint that I would get a
LTE 4G by January 2013 and I've had this line for almost 6 Months and I've still don't
have a LTE or a 4G. plus a weekand half ago I was trying to make a 911 call for a
Emergency and the phone didn't go through at all saying I didn't have any Service at all.
So basically I want to leave Sprint Im tired of sprint and I want to leave without paying the
$300 to breakthe Contract. I'm Frustrated with Sprint. I've been charged with so many
fee's and I'm sickand tired of sprint.

I tried calling 911 from my personal phone (1-Mobile) from my house and driveway. The
call would not go through. I had my workphone on me (Sprint) and that had signal and
could make a phone call. T-Mobile was unwilling to use Sprint's networkto make an

Consumer has made an emergency call to 911. The call tookalmost 20 minutes to go
through and it was only because she ran out due to the situation and managed to get
connection. The spoke to Sprints tech support and was told by two of them that their
towers were down and it was their fault. They transferred to csr when she asked to have
contract cancelled. The csr told her there were no problems with towers in the area and
tech did not know what they were talking about. They were not going to cancel the
contract and told her that because the area she was in is not her home they were not
breaking any rules and that area is not promised service all the time. She would like the
service cancelled the location she was at is like her home and if service is not available

This was in regards to our ticket/issue that when I call from my cell phone, within Weld
county, its pins me, at being at the closest cell tower! Not even remotely close to my

Verizon wireless service was out today from approximately 10:00 AMuntil approximately
3:30 PM. My Verizon Wireless cellular phone is my only phone. While Verizon Wireless
service was down, NO911 calls could be made from any Verizon Wireless cellular phone
in our area, thereby posing a dangerous riskto our rural town. The closest hospital is 27
miles away, so without 911 capabilities, if an emergency were to have happened, there
would have been no possible way to get help. Our area experiences Verizon outages on
a somewhat regular basis. The prior Verizon outage was on December 5, 2012, and
lasted for approximately 6 hours. A large percentage of our town's population only have
Verizon Wireless cellular phones as their only phone. My 14 yr old son, my 11 yr old
daughter and my 88yr old mother are all in my home. Emergencies are rare, but they do
happen. My mother has already had a stroke, so her chances of having another stroke
are very great so, access to 911 is crucial.
