group activity and group discussion.

CONTENT ANALYSIS
Terms : Monera,protista,Fungi,Plautal,Animalia,Robert wittaker
Facts :Robert H Whittacker ia the father of five kingdom classification
:He classified the living world into five kingdom .They are Monera,Protista,Fungi,Plantae and
Animalia

CONCEPT

Major Concept : Five kingdom classification
Minor Concept : Monera are the unicellular organism having no definite nucleus
: Protista are the unicellular organism or simple multicellular organism having definite
nucleus
: Fungi are the hetrotrotrophic unicellular or multicellular organism that do not have
power of locomotion
: Plantae are the autrotrophic multicellular organism which does not have the the
power of locomotion
: Animalia are the heterotrophic multicellular organism which have the power
of locomotion

LEARNING OUTCOMES OR OBJECTIVES

Enables the pupil to develop the concept
1. Develop factual knowledge on the concept of five kingdom classification through
Recalling the new terms like Monera , Protista ,Fungi , Plantae ,Animalia and fact and concept
mentioned in the concept analysis
Recognising the different kingdom in the living world
2. Develop conceptual knowledge about different kingdom in the living world through
Recognising the importance of Robert H Whittacker
Comparing the different kingdom in the living world
3. Develop procedural knoweidge about five kingdom classification through
Giving activities for classifying the organism into different kingdom
Preparation of the list contain more examples for each kingdom
4. Develop the scientific attitude on the five kingdom classification
5. Develop process skill like
Observation of different organism in each kingdom
Completing the given chart as per the instruction
Communication through presenting the group work

PRE-REQUISTES
Carl Linnaeus classified the living world into two. They are Animalia and Plantae

Classification & Carl Linnaeus.

Activity 1

Teacher shows the chart which contain the
Description of Robert.H.Whittaker.

Activity
Teacher classify the total students in to five groups and select one student in each
group and give an occasion for presenting the role play of each kingdom.

KINGDOM MONERA

I am kingdom monera.
I contain unicellular organisms
without definite nucleus.
Eg : Bacteria

KINGDOM PROTISTA

I am kingdom protista.I contain uni cellular
&simple multicellular organisms with
definite nucleaus.
Eg : Amoeba

KINGDOM FUNGI
I am kingdom fungi.I contain heteroteophic
unicellular&multicellular organisms which
do not have the power of
locomotion.Eg:Fungus

KINGDOM PLANTAE

I am kingdom autoteophic.
I contain autoteophic multicellular
Organisms which do not have the
power of locomotion.
Eg : All plants with chlorophyll

KINGDOM ANIMALIA

I am kingdom animalia.I contain
heterotrophic multicellular organisms which
have the power of locomotion.
Eg : All animals
