Oct. 5, 2014 - 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Your Story and Mine
Isa 5:1-7 Gods vineyard is abandoned and ruined.
Psalm 80 (Isa 5:7a) The vineyard of the Lord is the
house of Israel.
Phil 4:6-9 Keep doing what you have learned, and
be at peace.
Matt 21:33-43 God expects his vineyard to produce.

Todays Gospel warns us, The
kingdom of God will be taken
away from you and given to a
people that will produce its
fruit. It is an exhortation for us
to be workers in the kingdom of
God in our time and place.
Unfortunately, many of us have
become a nation of spectators.
We watch TV and movies, we watch our hand-held
devices, we watch other
people play sports, but we dont take the field our-
selves. Maybe its time for us to rise up from the
bench and get to work. Todays Gospel rallies
us to join forces to build Gods kingdom on earth.
