8ndive is a member of the lettuce family. 't is shaped like a bulb and has leaves that overlap each
other - try peeling them off one by one to see how many there are. The leaves are a bit bitter on their
own but they are delicious in a salad mixed with sweet tomatoes and slices of orange.
