TOP GENTRY OFFICIALS JOIN DEAN CAMPAIGN Bo Roberts, Pam Martin come on board as advisor, co-chair NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two top political operatives from the Howard Gentry for Mayor campaign have joined the Karl Dean mayoral campaign. Gentry Campaign Chairman Bo Roberts and Campaign Treasurer Pam Martin announced their commitment to elect Karl Dean, saying he is the “man best suited to keep Nashville moving forward.” “I am excited that these highly respected individuals are joining our team,” Dean said. “They bring experience to our campaign, but more importantly they bring a passion for our city and its citizens.” Roberts, a Nashville marketing consultant, will be a senior advisor to the campaign, working with Dean’s top staff “in any way I can contribute,” he said. Martin, a top operative in Tennessee political circles and president of Cushion Corporation in Nashville, will serve as co-chair of the campaign. “I really didn’t know Karl Dean when this campaign started, but during 40-plus forums I came to admire his intelligence, integrity and commitment to move Nashville ahead,” Roberts said. “I think his message in many respects mirrors Vice Mayor Howard Gentry’s and that he will best embrace Howard’s commitment to progress and the underserved.” Martin said: “Karl Dean is a friend who I admire and respect, and if my close friend Howard Gentry had not been in this campaign he would have been my choice for Mayor. He is clearly my choice now as the best hope for Nashville’s future.” -more-
