Write a composition giving your opinion (120 180 words):

The best way to learn a foreign language is to study it in a country in which it is used
I think its not possible to assure its better to study a language in a country where its used because there are many
different variables to take into account. Ill try to explain a couple of them that right now come to my mind: the
students age and if you have previous knowledge of the language or not.
In my opinion, the age of the student is a crucial fact in order to learn and to be fluent in a language. Without any
doubt, the best age, at least for the speaking, is when youre a little child and you do not think about it but you just
repeat trying to sound like the others. If you are a little elder, lets say a teenager or a young student, spending a
couple of years studying abroad with the natives is also a great chance because you will not only learn the formal
language through your studies at school or university but also the idioms from your fellows.
In case you are aged (old / elder / aged enough?) as to have a job, I believe there is another variable to be
considered: Have you ever studied or used that language before?
If you are so fortunate as to have had some previous contact with the language, then you can either spend some
free time abroad to dive into the language or apply to get a job in a country where the official language is the one
youre interested in.
But if you are completely new in the language, perhaps itd be better starting with a course in your country and once
you feel confidence enough, you can jump into (?) the adventure!

Improving facilities at our schools social club
The aim of this report is to study the current situation of our schools social club and to propose some actions to
improve its facilities.
Firstly, a detailed inspection of the place was carried out so as to have an initial approach to the facilities conditions
and its most obvious needs. Secondly, many schools workers and pupils were interviewed because they are the
main users of these facilities.
Many of them reported serious problems with the roof when it rains (= raining?) and with the air conditioning
system in summer, and few of them complained about the restrooms conditions. Otherwise, almost all of them find
that the general condition of the rest of the club is quite good considering the intensive use (heavy/hard ?) it has.
So, to summarize, please take into account the weak point just mentioned:
a. Roof
b. air conditioning system
c. restrooms
Besides, as a recommendation, Id suggest to contract (hire?) a Maintenance Service company which would check
Clubs facilities monthly and could not only repair any problem but prevent difficulties in advance also.

Subject: Summer holiday

How are you doing? As you know, I have always wanted to visit your country and, finally, we are going to be able to
go next summer. Louise and I are very excited about it and we want to plan our trip very well.

Before we book anything, wed like to have some advice from you. For example, which month is better for visiting:
July, August or September? Say when and why.

We are planning to stay 10 days. Do you have any recommendations regarding hotels, guest houses? We want
something clean and well-located, but not too expensive because we want to spend most our money eating out
and on excursions.Suggest.

Another question: Should we rent a car? If so, can you recommend any car rental company? Say no, unless they are
planning to visit other cities.

Finally, what kind of clothes should we take? Im not sure if we should take our raincoats and umbrellas. Suggest
very light clothes.

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,

Happy to receive news,

September is the best month because its not as hot as July and August. I have checked online hotels and
would like to suggest "The Great Maison" which is located in the city centre.

You dont need to rent car unless you want to visit other cities. There are excursions by bus.

Suggestion for a car rental company "Carfleet". Friends told me it was inexpensive and reliable.

Very light clothes and one light jacket. No umbrellas or raincoats.

Hello Steve,

I'm very happy to hear that you are coming to Spain with Louise.

Regarding your questions, first let me suggest that you come in September. July and August are extremely hot
months, and it's not always nice to be touring the city.

I have checked several online hotels, and I would like to suggest "The Great Maison". It's conveniently located in the
city centre very close to most museums and landmarks.

You don't need to rent a car unless you want to visit other cities, and you don't want to book an excursion by bus. If
you insist on having a car, I recommend "Carfleet"which friends told me is inexpensive and reliable.

Finally, please, take light clothes and a jacket. You don't need raincoats or umbrellas because it hardly rains.

If you have more questions, please let me know. I'll be happy to answer them.

Looking forward to seeing you next summer.
