This Defunding ObamaCare Update is upbeat; 72K people participated in a telephonic-briefing this-
p.m.led by Tea Party Patriots and featuring Cruz/Lee/Meadowsand, during the call, $25K was raised.
Perhaps the most encouraging message uttered nationally is what is being experienced locally, namely,
intense pressure is being exerted on GOP-CongressPeople to do the right thing rather than worry
about how their conduct may be perceived by Boehner, the GOP-Establishment, and/or the Media.
Specifically, quiet-commitments are being garnered, as incremental realization of the magnitude of this
pivotal-vote is sinking-in [and it is expected to occur within a fortnight, following the Syria War debate].

Specific support is sought incrementally for the Graves Bill and the Meadows Letter,
inasmuch as the former seeks to defund while the latter tethers defunding to the CR.
That Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick had signed neither prompted issuance of the critical
Press Releasesigned by all TEA [Taxed Enough Already] Party Movement groups
located in Bucks Countywhich appears to have been a unique event, nationally. Thus,
Mike called two of its signatories and met with them on 9/5/2013 for 90 minutes, and
its anticipated that the anticipated follow-up meeting on 9/10/2013 in D.C. will focus on
the Graves Bill, for his oral comments appear to be congruent with the language therein:

To prohibit the funding of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United
States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the `Defund ObamaCare Act of 2013'.
SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON FUNDING.
(a) In General- Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no Federal
funds shall be made available to carry out any provisions of the
Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Public Law 111-148) or
title I and subtitle B of title II of the Health Care and Education
Reconciliation Act of 2010 (Public Law 111-152), or of the amendments
made by either such Act.
(b) Limitation- No entitlement to benefits under any provision of the
Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Public Law 111-148) or
title I and subtitle B of title II of the Health Care and Education
Reconciliation Act of 2010 (Public Law 111-152), or the amendments
made by either such Act, shall remain in effect on and after the date of
the enactment of this Act, nor shall any payment be awarded, owed,
or made to any State, District, or territory under any such provision.

(c) Unobligated Balances- Notwithstanding any other provision of law,
all unobligated balances available under the provisions of law referred
to in subsection (a) are hereby rescinded.

U.S. Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-14) announced that his Defund ObamaCare Act (H.R. 2682)
crossed the threshold of the so-called Hastert Rule now that it has support from a
majority of House Republicans. Inasmuch as HALF OF GOP VOTERS IN BOEHNERS
DISTRICT WELCOME PRIMARY CHALLENGE TO SPEAKER, it would appear that he will be
forced to honor the wishes of the majority of his caucus when handling this legislation.

It should be noted that the signatories of the Press Release harbor national-connections with many
groups that are active in this arena [FreedomWorks, Tea Party Patriots, Heritage Action]; this physician
has also been nurturing parallel communication-links and expanded them [tonight] to Rafael B. Cruz
*Teds father+ and Colin Hanna *Let Freedom Ring+; the rationale for these new forays is detailed infra.
Thus, what is transpiring loco-regionally can serve as a template for what others may co-adopt and,
therefore, the text of the adopted-Resolution is reprised [themed on Meadows to maximize impact]:

We, the undersigned leaders of patriot groups in the 8

Congressional District, have
been active supporters of Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick for years, contributing time,
effort, and funds to support this honest civil servant. We have asked the Congressman
to protect the best interests of individuals, families, and businesses in his district
by refusing to fund ObamaCare. Unfortunately, despite having cast 42 votes
supporting symbolic resolutions against the detrimental provisions of this Healthcare
Act, Congressman Fitzpatrick has not committed himself to taking a stand against
funding ObamaCare in the Continuing Resolution.

The failure of our representatives in the House to use their power of the purse strings
to delay or stall the burdensome requirements of ObamaCare undermines the people's
confidence in their understanding of the harmful impact of this law and their
commitment to the welfare of the people. Those of us who have worked to put the
Congressman in office because of his firm stand against ObamaCare call on
Congressman Fitzpatrick to back up his words with action by voting against any
measure that provides funding for ObamaCare. We further ask that Congressman
Fitzpatrick make public this commitment to his constituents.

We specifically request that Congressman Fitzpatrick promptly sign the letter
composed by Rep. Mark Meadows, urging the House GOP leadership to affirmatively
de-fund the implementation and enforcement of ObamaCare in any relevant
appropriations bill brought to the House floor in the 113th Congress, including any
continuing appropriations bill.

The political import of this gambit has been to convey disquiet among those on the right flank of a man
who has been a moderate statesman who resists being swept-up in movements that may go viral;
thus, he has not been subject to a information-dump of organizations *such as the AAPS, of which this
physician is a member] endorsing this effortfor he is an independent thinker/speaker/doernor has
he been told what he already knows [Republicans question cost of ObamaCare price break for unions].

regarding who might be blamed for a government shutdownwithout compromising GOP principles:

HR 2009 *Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act of 2013+ was passed by the House and
could be appended to the CR covering the Treasury Department; HR 2300 *Empowering
Patients First+ could be appended to the CR covering the Health and Human Services
Department; the remaining eight departments could then be amalgamated into one CR
and passed [thereby envisioned to be passed by the Senate and signed by the POTUS].
In this fashion, the GOP would not be portrayed as the Party of NO! because it
would have adopted [and funded] its alternative-plan, and the GOP would not be
portrayed as having shut down government because it would have upheld its duties
[per the Constitution, Article I, Section 7] to originate government-funding bills.

The decision as to whether to launch a Syrian War is not agonizing, as reflex-Ds such as Trudy Rubin
incessantly suggest in defense of BHO [Worldview: On Syria, no good option] and as reflex-Ds such as
the Jewish Exponent publish an editorial and two op-eds that uniformly support BHOs bellicosityand
as neither opts to recognize the possibility that this sudden event is actually a direct consequence of the
Obama Doctrine *RETREAT] during the past half-decade; his upcoming interviews and speech will
probably not alter the devastating whip-count appreciably [as per lefties @ WaPo, AP, Think-Progress],
yielding such a bad situation in the House that its possible D-Senators wont pass it *lacking the desire
to be hung-out-to-dry when anticipating a courageous defense of BHO would have to be mounted
subsequently, noting Reid faces double-digit Democratic defections and Pelosi Warns BHO May Not
Have House Votes+. BHO wont be able to use this vote to bash Congress due to bipartisan opposition;
this could presage domestic-side retreat as well, just in time for the upcoming Defund ObamaCare
wars [intra-GOP, and inter-party]which have monopolized prior blast e-mails during the past month.

It may be recalled that the essay this physician co-authored with Dr. Sherkoh Abbas

the Third Way to perceive the current conundrum; it has been published in Israpundit,

necessary awareness of the need to support non-Islamist rebels who, until recently,
BHO has been ignoring [while supporting entities aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood].
Thus, rather than bash BHO, this constitutes an effort to help him choose wisely,
and it must be noted that other voices in the wilderness who have been clamoring for
YEARS regarding the need to have paid attention to the Kurds include Joseph Puder,
Jerome Gordon, Ted Belman and Jonathan Spyer*as other pundits have ignored them].

Obviously, a tremendous amount of information has been culled from the Internet during recent weeks,
and it is difficult to envision how to format its presentation in this venue; thus, lengthy pieces are to be
provided in a series of blast e-mails, with extensive commentary reserved, to follow the data-dump.
These recitations cannot be viewed as dicta regarding how America must approach the Middle East,
inasmuch as many additional facets also remain under-reported [e.g., the essay in front page mag by
joseph-puder addressing why any negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs must include
Jewish refugees from arab lands]. Nevertheless, recalling the concept that these problems with BHO are
categorized nominallyfor they actually constitute fingers connected to a solitary handit is noted that
two essayists have claimed answers-on-benghazi *a foundational component of the Scandal-Sheet
that has animated these blasts+ will emerge when the benghazi-syria-connection is explored.

Over the years, this physician has been placed into the position of channeling points
made in an essay written in defense of Sarah Palin, and illustrative of her insights is her
analysis [so-were-bombing-syria-because-syria-is-bombing-syria and-im-the-idiot?]
which encompasses so many superb observations [and states them so succinctly] that

* President Obama wants America involved in Syrias civil war pitting
the antagonistic Assad regime against equally antagonistic al-Qaeda
affiliated rebels. But hes not quite sure which side is doing what, what
the ultimate end game is, or even whose side we should be on. Havent
we learned? WAGs dont work in war.

* We didnt intervene when over 100,000 Syrians were tragically
slaughtered by various means, but well now intervene to avenge the
tragic deaths of over 1,000 Syrians killed by chemical weapons, though
according to the White House were not actually planning to take out

the chemical weapons because doing so would require too much of a
commitment.

* President Obama wants to do what, exactly? Punish evil acts in the
form of a telegraphed air strike on Syria to serve as a deterrent? If our
invasion of Iraq wasnt enough of a deterrent to stop evil men from
using chemical weapons on their own people, why do we think this will
be?

* The world sympathizes with the plight of civilians tragically caught in
the crossfire of this internal conflict. But President Obamas advertised
war plan (which has given Assad enough of a heads-up that hes
reportedly already placing human shields at targeted sites) isnt about
protecting civilians, and its not been explained how lobbing U.S.
missiles at Syria will help Syrian civilians. Do we really think our actions
help either side or stop them from hurting more civilians?

* We have no clear mission in Syria. Theres no explanation of what vital
American interests are at stake there today amidst yet another
centuries-old internal struggle between violent radical Islamists and a
murderous dictatorial regime, and we have no business getting involved
anywhere without one. And wheres the legal consent of the peoples
representatives? Our allies in Britain have already spoken. They just said
no. The American people overwhelmingly agree, and the wisdom of the
people must be heeded.

* Our Nobel Peace Prize winning President needs to seek Congressional
approval before taking us to war. Its nonsense to argue that, Well,
Bush did it. Bull. President Bush received support from both Congress
and a coalition of our allies for his wars, ironically the same wars
Obama says he vehemently opposed because of lack of proof of
Americas vital interests being at stake.

* Bottom line is that this is about President Obama saving political face
because of his red line promise regarding chemical weapons.

* As I said before, if we are dangerously uncertain of the outcome and
are led into war by a Commander-in-chief who cant recognize that this
conflict is pitting Islamic extremists against an authoritarian regime with
both sides shouting Allah Akbar at each other, then let Allah sort it
out.

These are the introductory/conclusory points made surrounding this essay:

They promised us that, if we voted for Mitt Romney, wed have an
incompetent foreign policy run by idiots and they were right. But they
were right only because more people voted for Barack Obama.

watched Obamas Syrian policy go from stupid, with his red line talk;
to more stupid, with his insistence on a delicate yet muscular strike at a
date and time to be announced; to idiotic, with a turnaround that sees

Congressional debate; to truly delusional, as when he denied ever
drawing a red line in the Syrian sand.

Sarah Palin, who has a knack for getting to the nub of an issue, took to
Facebook to describe exactly whats going on now, and what went on in
2008 when the American people were so afraid of an inexperienced
Vice President that they elected an even less experienced, not to
mention socialist, President:

As for Mitt Romney, who tried to defeat Obama in 2012, he warned
Americans that Obamas approach to the Middle East would end with

who characterized BHOs speeches as recalling pitches by stockbrokers who werent truly convinced
they were hawking a quality product; even MSNBC Thought Obamas Syria Speech [in St. Petersburg]

This blast e-mail was just received from Linda Rosen [Patriot of Lower Bucks, Doylestown, PA 18901,
215-262-3115+; her header is Please contact your representative and Senators and say no to attacking
Syria [and] FORWARD TO OTHERS [because] Theres Strength In Numbers. [It has been reformatted,
halving its length while retaining the myriad articles which are consistent with points made earlier.]
Again deferred is a compilation of hyperlinks, but the key-point is that BHOs desire to launch a war
should not be permitted; when Kerry suggested the Saudis would finance the bombing, the immediate
reaction was to wonder whether the U.S. would become Mercenaries for Al-Qaeda and, indeed, noting
the current balance of forces, the immediate reaction was first articulated by Dennis Kucinich when he
claimed a Syria strike would turn US into 'al Qaeda's air force.' In any case, this blast e-mail is intended
to capture the range of communications and documentation that has been flooding the Internet.

BHOs path to war [even if he attempts to limit the bombing to a finite time-frame]
violates major principles of war, many of which served as the basis for his *& Kerrys+
scathing critique of Bush-43s approach to Iraq/Afghanistan; this includes NOT invoking
the element of surprise, achieving critical-mass, having clearly-defined and readily-
achievable objectives, hoping for the best but planning for the worst, and articulating
an exit-strategy. It is not credible to suggest, for example, that the time-delay was
endorsed by Gen. Dempsey; multiple reports suggest ASSAD is stashing WEAPONS
AMONG CIVILIANS and is moving troops, even as BHO has asked the US military to
revise the Syria strike plan 50 times. Indeed, during Congressional testimony, Kerry
initially refused to rule-out use of U.S. ground troops in Syria, then backtracked.

Note these scenes of executions by rebels and of a rebel eating the heart of one of Assads soldiers;
both have gone viral, and it seems no one from the rebel world has challenged their authenticity.

In contrast, these scenes of alleged-death from sarin gas [due to Assad] are FAKE; the people in the
photo were not victims of sarin and they arent even dead, as per the description of sarin and its
characteristic symptoms provided by the CDC (Center of Disease Control & Prevention).

1. Sarin makes the lungs unable to absorb oxygen, so that victims die of respiratory failure,
that is, suffocation. As a result, a person dying of sarin appears blue, and after death
looks blackened, particularly in the extremities. All of the victims shown have a very
healthy even lively color.
2. Sarin also operates on the nervous system, causing victims to convulse violently
violently enough to dislocate joints and break bones. As this veteran put it, their bodies
look like human pretzels. These victims show no signs of such violent convulsions. In
fact, none of them even show the characteristics of rigor mortis, particularly in the
wrists, hands, and jaws.
3. Because sarin is a nerve agent that interferes with the respiratory system, its telltale
effects on the body include: runny nose, watery eyes, drooling and excessive sweating,
diarrhea, vomiting, and increased urination. And yet, the bodies, which have obviously
not been cleaned because theyre still wearing clothes, are not covered in drool, snot,
sweat, vomit, urine, or diarrhea. In fact, they are remarkably clean, particularly in the
groin area of the underwear and pants.

4. Sarin is absorbed by the skin and by clothing, and is transferred by touch as well as by
air. Also, a person who gets exposed to sarin by touch immediately knows it because it
will cause nerve damage to the area touched, inducing local muscle twitching and
sweating. And yet the man standing there is completely unprotected from the sarin that
should be emanating from the victims bodies and clothing, even though he would
immediately notice discomfort if he handled the bodies and would suffer from
poisoning without wearing a proper breathing apparatus.
5. Because sarin is absorbed by clothing, the first treatment for exposure is to remove all
clothes; yet, ALL of the victims still are wearing clothing.
6. Sarin doesnt do anything that would prompt placement of bandages on foreheads;
indeed, people would probably want to remove any such covering.
7. The man standing is wearing US regulation Army camouflage pants.
8. In the hot weather of the Syrian summer, if these bodies were dead, they would
promptly either show signs of rigor mortis or bloating.
9. Its highly unlikely that all of these victims died on their backs, and none show any sign
of blood-pooling (which would occur, after coagulation, at the bodys lowest points);
furthermore, if a body is later turned on its back, the dark-colored blood would remain
where it had been, either on the front or the side of the body.

As the US government debates on whether to assist Syrian rebels in their war against Bashar al-

Syrian Army fighters are reportedly made up of al Nusra forces, which are al Qaeda affiliated

The war in Syria has raged for two years with over 100,000 casualties and has no clear ending.
United States Secretary of State John Kerry has issued reports in the past week revealing that
the government of Assad is using chemical weapons on its own people. The President of the
United States Barack Obama has now reached his infamous red line, where he declared that
the US will intervene to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe.The New York Times has reported
that the president has deployed a group of CIA backed rebels, who have begun to make their
way onto the battlefield.
But the FSA fighters backed by the US government are not all likely to be so friendly to America

Putin presses US Congress over Syria, says Kerry lied

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday the U.S. Congress had no right to approve
the use of force against Syria without a decision from the U.N. Security Council, and that doing
so would be an "act of aggression".
He said "anything that is outside the U.N. Security Council is aggression, except self-defense.
Now what Congress and the U.S. Senate are doing in essence is legitimizing aggression. This is
inadmissible in principle."
In remarks that could raise tension further before he hosts President Barack Obama and other
G20 leaders on Thursday, Putin also said U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry lied to Congress
about the militant group al Qaeda's role in the Syrian conflict.
"They lie beautifully, of course. I saw debates in Congress. A congressman asks Mr. Kerry: 'Is al
Qaeda there?' He says: 'No, I am telling you responsibly that it is not'," Putin said at a meeting
of his human rights council in the Kremlin.
"Al Qaeda units are the main military echelon, and they know this," he said, referring to the
United States. "It was unpleasant and surprising for me - we talk to them, we proceed from
the assumption that they are decent people. But he is lying and knows he is lying. It's sad."

Securing Syria's chemical weapons stockpiles and the facilities that produced them would likely
require the U.S. to send more than 75,000 ground troops into the Middle Eastern country,
MailOnline learned Wednesday. That estimate comes from a secret memorandum the U.S.
Department of Defense prepared for President Obama in early 2012.
U.S. Central Command arrived at the figure of 75,000 ground troops as part of a written series of
military options for dealing with Bashar al-Assad more than 18 months ago, long before the U.S.
confirmed internally that the Syrian dictator was using the weapons against rebel factions within
his borders.
'The report exists, and it was prepared at the request of the National Security Advisor's staff,' a
Department of Defense official with knowledge of the inquiry told MailOnline Wednesday on
condition of anonymity. 'DoD spent lots of time and resources on it. Everyone understood that
this wasn't a pointless exercise, and that eventually we would be tasked with going and getting
the VX and sarin, so there was lots of due diligence.'
The logistical difficulties of bringing Syria's chemical warfare infrastructure under control
stands in stark contrast with the text of a resolution passed Wednesday by a powerful Senate
committee, and with assurances Secretary of State John Kerry has given committees in both
houses of Congress.
The War Powers Resolution, which passed the Senate Foreign Relations Committee late
Wednesday on a bipartisan 10-7 vote, includes text noting that it 'does not authorize the use
of the United States Armed Forces on the ground in Syria for the purpose of combat
operations.'
If President Obama were to deploy ground forces in Syria, the final words of that phrase 'for
the purpose of combat operations' could become a loophole large enough to drive a
Humvee through.
Speaking to the committee on Tuesday as he made the case for a congressional authorization to
bomb critical Syrian military sites, Kerry seemed to leave open the possibility that 'boots on the
ground' could be marshaled specifically to secure chemical weapons stockpiles 'in the event
Syria imploded, for instance.'
Kerry also mused on a scenario in which 'there was a threat of a chemical weapons cache falling
into the hands of al-Nusra or someone else and it was clearly in the interest of our allies and all
of us the British, the French and others to prevent those weapons of mass destruction falling
into the hands of the worst elements.'

Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., who is aggressively lobbying against a military strike on Syria, says the
Obama administration has manipulated intelligence to push its case for U.S. involvement in the
country's two-year civil war.
Grayson made the accusation in an interview published Wednesday by The Atlantic and offered
more detail in a Thursday discussion with U.S. News. He says members of Congress are being
given intelligence briefings without any evidence to support administration claims that Syrian
leader Bashar Assad ordered the use of chemical weapons.
Grayson said he cannot discuss the classified briefings, but noted details in the administration's
public, non-classified report are being contested.
The White House released its four-page public report Aug. 30, arguing that Assad's government
killed 1,429 people on Aug. 21 with a planned chemical weapon attack. Evidence cited in that
report included "intercepted communications involving a senior official intimately familiar with
the offensive who confirmed that chemical weapons were used."
Grayson, however, says "the claim has been made that that information was completely
mischaracterized."
He points to an article published by The Daily Caller that alleges the communications actually
showed Syrian officers were surprised by the alleged chemical weapon attack. The
communications, according to unnamed sources paraphrased in article, were intercepted by
Israeli intelligence and "doctored so that it leads a reader to just the opposite conclusion."
"What they say in The Daily Caller is that [intercepted communications] would lead one to the
opposite conclusion," Grayson said. "I don't know if it's right or wrong, [but] there's a very
simple way to find out, that's for the administration to show me and other members of

Russia says they have compiled a 100-page report blaming the Syrian rebels for the chemical
weapons attack, not Assad, just as we reported on this program on Tuesday. A 100-page
report. Now, I don't know about you, but what does it feel like to have to agree with a former
KGB agent? "The Russian statement warned the United States and its allies --" which, in this
case, is France "-- not to conduct a military strike against Syria until the United Nations had
completed a similarly detailed scientific study into the August 21st attack." Russia's done their
own. It's a 100-page report. Russia has found that the Syrian rebels did the attack.
Now, if you think, "Yeah, come on, Rush, don't fall for this. I mean, this is Putin. This is Russia." I
know. But the New York Times, which is Obama's Bible, the New York Times: "Brutality of
Syrian Rebels Posing Dilemma in West." You see, the regime has tried once again to portray the
rebels in Syria, the enemies of Bashar Assad, as innocent, harmless men, women and children
being forced out of their homes, wandering aimless in the Syrian desert. Don't have any guns;
don't have any weapons; don't have anything; don't have any food; don't have any water; don't
have any nurse;, don't have any doctors. This is the picture, the rebels, the anti-Assad forces,
people, I mean, they are God's gift.

BERLIN Russia says a deadly March sarin attack in an Aleppo suburb was carried out by Syrian
rebels, not forces loyal to President Bashar Assad, and it has delivered a 100-page report laying
out its evidence to the United Nations.
A statement posted on the Russian Foreign Ministry website late Wednesday said the report
included detailed scientific analysis of samples that Russian technicians collected at the site of
the alleged attack, Khan al Asal in northern Syria. The attack killed 26 people.
A U.N. spokesman, Farhan Haq, confirmed that Russia delivered the report in July.
The report itself was not released. But the statement drew a pointed comparison between what
it said was the scientific detail of the report and the far shorter intelligence summaries that the
United States, Britain and France have released to justify their assertion that the Syrian
government launched chemical weapons against Damascus suburbs on Aug. 21. The longest of
those summaries, by the French, ran nine pages. Each relies primarily on circumstantial evidence
to make its case, and they disagree with one another on some details, including the number of
people who died in the attack.
The Russian statement warned the United States and its allies not to conduct a military strike
against Syria until the United Nations had completed a similarly detailed scientific study into the
Aug. 21 attack. It charged that what it called the current hysteria about a possible military
strike in the West was similar to the false claims and poor intelligence that preceded the U.S.

There is a growing volume of new evidence from numerous sources in the Middle East mostly
affiliated with the Syrian opposition and its sponsors and supporters which makes a very
strong case, based on solid circumstantial evidence, that the August 21, 2013, chemical strike in
the Damascus suburbs was indeed a pre-meditated provocation by the Syrian opposition.
The extent of US foreknowledge of this provocation needs further investigation because
available data puts the horror of the Barack Obama White House in a different and disturbing
light.
On August 13-14, 2013, Western-sponsored opposition forces in Turkey started advance
preparations for a major and irregular military surge. Initial meetings between senior opposition
military commanders and representatives of Qatari, Turkish, and US Intelligence *Mukhabarat
Amriki+ took place at the converted Turkish military garrison in Antakya, Hatay Province, used
as the command center and headquarters of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and their foreign
sponsors. Very senior opposition commanders who had arrived from Istanbul briefed the
regional commanders of an imminent escalation in the fighting due to a war-changing
development which would, in turn, lead to a US-led bombing of Syria.
The opposition forces had to quickly prepare their forces for exploiting the US-led bombing in
order to march on Damascus and topple the Bashar al-Assad Government, the senior
commanders explained. The Qatari and Turkish intelligence officials assured the Syrian regional
commanders that they would be provided with plenty of weapons for the coming offensive.
Indeed, unprecedented weapons distribution started in all opposition camps in Hatay Province
on August 21-23, 2013. In the Reyhanli area alone, opposition forces received well in excess of
400 tons of weapons, mainly anti-aircraft weaponry from shoulder-fired missiles to ammunition
for light-guns and machineguns. The weapons were distributed from store-houses controlled by
Qatari and Turkish Intelligence under the tight supervision of US Intelligence

Syria, but the non-voting D.C. delegate to Congress said she could see herself voting out of

Speaking during the Bill Press show Tuesday morning, Del. Norton explained that the situation in
Syria requires attention, but shes not sure if the response should involve the U.S. military.
I cant believe that the only way to address it is a slight bombing which will somehow punish

The shows host then asked if it would be justified for the president to act even if Congress says,
no.
No, oh boy, no, she answered. I think itll be like the red line trap. He said if the red line
you cross it. I think once you say, Im going to Congress, you cant say, Okay, Im going to do it

Its important to note that Del. Norton cannot actually cost a vote in the debate. Still, she told
Press: If *Obama+ gets saved at all, I think itll be because, itll be because of loyalty of
Democrats. They just dont want to see him shamed and humiliated on the national stage.

the Congress is other than a declaration of war, say a resolution of support or approval that will

And that brings us to the wisdom of going to war. Suppose the Congress declares war, what are
the reasons that would be a mistake?
1. The United States has not been attacked.
2. The security of the United States is not at issue, and war should always be a response of last
resort to a threat to our security.

Syrias neighbor Iraq in midst of violent upheaval

While the eyes of most world leaders are focused on Syria, 56 people were killed and another
170 were wounded in separate attacks in Syrias neighboring Arab country, Iraq, on Tuesday,
according to a police source who monitors Islamist terrorist bombings.
At least one dozen car bombing attacks were perpetrated throughout the Iraqi capital of
Baghdad. The areas attacked were mostly-Shiite neighborhoods. As a result of the 12 bombings,
47 people were killed and approximately 160 others were wounded, said Mike Snopes, a former
military intelligence officer and police detective who now serves as a consultant for a number of
U.S. and multinational corporations.
According to various reports gathered by Snopes:
* Eight Iraqis died and 28 others sustained wounds when two cars containing improvised
explosive devices (IEDs) exploded in a crowded marketplace in Baghdad.
* In another bombing, an IED loaded into an automobile exploded near a restaurant in eastern
Baghdad, killing eight civilians and wounding 25 others. Earlier in the day, four people were
killed and 14 were wounded in a car IED blast in the same area, Snopes added.
* In yet another similar IED explosion in southwest Baghdad, seven people were mortally
wounded and several others were seriously injured.
* In the southeastern part of the city, a car bomb explosion killed four pedestrians and wounded
14 others.
The prime suspects for these bombings and terrorist attacks is al-Qaeda in Iraq, although the
group changed its name last month to its new name the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS
clearly expressing the organizations ideological inclinations and political aspirations, according
to Al-Monitor.
Tuesdays terrorist attacks were not all bombings, with an incident occurring in southern Iraq in
which several masked gunmen perpetrated a home invasion and murdered a man, his wife and

their three children. Gunmen also killed two civilians in a street ambush in Baghdads business
district, according to Det. Snopes.
The death toll from violence in Iraq in August 2013 was 841, according to a United
Nations report released on Sept. 1, 2013.

Syrian Electronic Army hacks Marines website

WASHINGTON Pro-Assad computer hackers today broke into the Marine Corps recruiting
website, redirecting visitors to a screed that called President Barack Obama a traitor who
wants to put your lives in danger to rescue al- Qaida insurgents.
A Marine Corps spokesman confirmed that the site, marines.com, was tampered with and
redirected temporarily, but no information was put at risk.
Capt. Eric Flanagan wouldnt say who was responsible for the hacking, but the site was
redirected to a message from the Syrian Electronic Army, a hacker group thats claimed
responsibility for disrupting the New York Times website, Twitter and other media sites the
group sees as sympathetic to Syrias rebels.
The message to the Marine Corps was a plea for Americans to fight alongside the Syrian army
and not aide the rebels.
President Barack Obama is seeking congressional approval for U.S. military intervention in Syria
in response to the suspected August chemical weapons attack on Syrian rebels who are trying to

THE CASE FOR DEFUNDING OBAMACARE

Congress is poised to vote on an issue that will define the American Experience for
decades to come. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, more widely known as
ObamaCare, is perhaps the most calamitous law this nation has ever seen. It will destroy
the doctor/patient relationship, place critical health care decisions in the hands of
government bureaucrats, and rely on enforcement by the nations tax collecting
apparatus.

Worse yet, this monstrosity is not even close to being ready. ObamaCare has no
mechanism to verify the status of applicants, inviting massive fraud. The data hub into
which we will enter our most personal and private health and financial information is
vulnerable to identity thieves. Health insurance premiums are set to skyrocket for
millions of Americans and the program is destined to bankrupt the nation.

The law is so awful, Congress itself has been exempted from major portions of it, along
with big business and labor unions which argue that ObamaCare will destroy the 40-hour
work week. The presidents special dispensations on ObamaCare shred the rule of law
and reek of despotism.

Small wonder that ObamaCare has been described as a train wreck; not by conservatives
or congressional Republicans but by the laws chief Senate patron, Max Baucus,
Montanas Democrat senator.

Every single Republican Member of Congress has either voted against ObamaCare or
voiced their opposition to it. Yet now that Congress has a real opportunity to prevent this
monstrosity from being inflicted on the American people, many Republicans are
chickening out on the one thing that can stop ObamaCare in its tracks.

Sen. Mike Lee of Utah and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas are spearheading the effort to rally
their fellow Republicans to pledge their support for a Continuing Resolution that funds
the entire federal government except ObamaCare.

Some Republicans have engaged in petty bickering over this effort, calling it dumb and
silly. But this sort of schoolyard taunting runs the risk of allowing the ObamaCare train
wreck to embed itself in the government bureaucracy.

Other Republicans say they want to repeal ObamaCare, but the House has voted on such
a measure dozens of times with no effect. Another approach proposes eliminating
certain portions of ObamaCare, but no amount of tinkering around the edges can
forestall the terrible impact of this law. It is like a mythical Hydra; cut off one head and
two more grow back in its place.

The hard truth is that the only realistic way to stop ObamaCare is to defund it, and the
best way to accomplishing this is through the Continuing Resolution pending in Congress
which funds all of the federal government except ObamaCare. There is absolutely no
reason why this cannot be done. The proposal by Lee, Cruz, and others mirrors a
relatively routine procedure which Congress has undertaken many times over several
decades.

Why would so many Republicans fear this approach? Some argue that the GOP will be
tarred with the lie of trying to shut down the federal government, hurting their prospects
for the 2014 midterm elections. In fact, not one Republican proposes to shut down the
government by defunding ObamaCare, and anyone who says otherwise is a liar.

Notwithstanding the terrible effect ObamaCare will have on the American people,
Republicans who refuse to defund it will face a backlash from their constituents.
Congressional Republicans can no longer get away with telling the voters they are doing
everything they can to stop ObamaCare but then refuse to defund it.

The voters are no longer fooled by this sort of rhetorical deception. By not defunding
ObamaCare, Republicans risk losing their majority in the House and slipping below 40
seats in the Senate, the effects of which would be a devastating free reign for President

Obama and a Democrat-controlled Congress. It is absolutely stunning that House
Speaker John Boehner and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell do not see the
enormous risk they and their party face by allowing ObamaCare to take hold.

In spite of all the complexities surrounding ObamaCare, the proposition of defunding it is
simple; if you vote to fund ObamaCare, you own it. Republicans who follow such a path
will have lost the conservatives who voted them into office and face the prospect of the
2014 campaign being their last.

They are embarrassed to be associated with the amateurism of the Obama
administrations attempts to craft a plan that makes strategic sense. None of the White
House staff has any experience in war or understands it. So far, at least, this path to war
violates every principle of war, including the element of surprise, achieving mass and

They are repelled by the hypocrisy of a media blitz that warns against the return of

and logged phone-records [which prompted the nra to support an-aclu-lawsuit, strange bedfellows].
Although BHO claimed there were No Allegations NSA Is Trying to 'Listen in On People's Email,' it was

known that the NSA is Spying on Americans despite Obama Claims, even as [perhaps attempting to

weapons, and here he managed to do so by simply saying he wants to spread the accountability onto
the backs of the American peoples representatives when they come back from their extended
vacation, and the issue is no longer on everyones mind, and not so important anymore, because by
then a few thousand more Syrians (on both sides) will have been killed, but only by mere conventional
weapons this time. Besides, the decision isnt really time sensitive anyway.

are embarking on a massive, member-by-member lobbying surge. "The strategy will be to flood the
zone," a White House official told Playbook. "We want every member to feel briefed, to have everything
they need, to have every question answered. In-person visits, one-on-one phone calls, conference calls,
