ARZHANG A SUPER HERO FROM QARTAAN

When I was young I read an Urdu Story named after a super hero named ARZHANG.
Arzhang{meaning:Worthy in Persian} was the Pakistani version of Super Man. His stories were published in
THREE PARTS.
EACH PART HAD A DIFFERENT NAME..
1] Arzhang Zamin per [Arzhang on Earth]
2] Arzhanf aur khalai pehelwan [ Arzhang and WRESTLER FROM SPACE]
3]Arzhang and Kaufnak Azhdahay [Arzhang and dreadful snakes.]
The name of the writer was Muhammad Rahat Yunus.
Each volume contained several adventures of Arzhang.
It is now beyond doubt that ARZHANG was none other than Super Man of DC COMICS.
But he was the best super hero I ever read.
My maternal Grand Father use to read the stories for me since I was unable to read them my self.
There are interesting contrast in the story when compare to super man
Krypton was QARTAAN [ta of huttee not of qarshat,Q Of Qarshat not of Kaliman]
Kryptonite was QARNATEES [ta of huttee not of qarshat]. It is clear that what is called Krypton in English was
called QARTAAN in Urdu,Perisan ,Sindhi,Arabic etc. Similarly Kryptonite was translated as Qarnatees.
How did he Mr . Rahat translated these Nouns is a Question which can only be answered hy the Author Mr.
Rahat..
KAL EL and SUPERMAN were ARZHANG.
JOR EL was JAR-RAAL
Clark Kent was Adnan [Named after the brother of pseudo mother of Arzhang on earth].Ain of SAFAS
LUIS LANE was Miss Rozi
Daily planet was ROZNAMAH SAIYARAH [Saiyarah means Planet]
LEX LUTHER was MOOSHAAK [A GREAT EVIL SCIENTIST].
There was an other evil scientist who was name as Doctor. Unfortunately I forgot his name .
I unfortunately forgot the name of Pseudo Father and Pseudo Mother of Arzhang, they were probably
Professor
SHAHARYAAR and Misses SHAHARYAAR [BEGUM SHAHARYAAR]

Unlike superman of DC comics Arzhang was supposed to possess the power as a natural power of all
QARTAANIYEEN[KRYTONIANS]. He did not gained power from the Yellow or White suns.
Arzhang was not immune to Anaesthesia. In one of the stories I remember he was made unconscious by
using it.
How ever he was almost like superman.
COSTUME of Arzhang.
Shirt of Arzhang was principly blue and trousers were red. Where super man has red parts on his costume
Arzhang had Black parts eg shoes etc.
Arzhang did not have a cape. He wore a Yallow belt with a Yellow disc in front.
Instead of an S on his chest there was a yellow star on it.
He had wrists slightly thin which added beauty to his pictures. But only in the second part. In the alpha and
Omega parts it was normal.
STORY:
It is told that the scientists of Krypton were experimenting on a new type of Nuclear Bomb, which
unfortunately lead to the distruction of the planet situated in milky way [KEHKASHAN] .
JAR-RAAL the father of ARZHANG anticipated the destruction of his planet and began to make a space ship
and send it on earh where he was found by a childless couple [Husband:Proffessor
SHAHARYAAR AND, Wife: BEGUM SHAHARYAAR ] .
Once the car of the pseudo father cease to move due to some fault, and Arzhang brought the car flying in
air. This compelled his Pseudo Father to tell him that he is not a human being of earth but a super human
being of Qartaan.
His Pesudo Father was some how able to read the books send by Jarraal in the space ship along with his son.
Perhaps it was the first time Adnaan came to know that his real name was ARZHANG.
What inspired the author to suggest the name Arzhang is a question of itself. I do not even know whether
this writer is still alilve or not. If he is alive then he must be very old.
Latter I read comics of Superman and Ibegan to love him just because my hero was Arzhang.
When I am my self in forties , Once I recalled Arzhang and found that my memory has deleted many things
about ARZHANG, I thought that one day no one will remember my childhood hero ARZHANG.
So one thing I thought , is to present ARZHANG on SCRIBD, WHERE ARZHANG MAY EXIST, and perhaps once
again become a rival hero of SuperMan .
I remember that in one of the stories he had to combat with alien Butter flies which grew larger and
stronger, since the gain power after every attack of Arzhang. There power depended upon the power of
their enimies.

I remember that once a monkey become too large and two powerful that even ARZHANG find it difficult to
tackle with him , perhaps because it had Kryptonitic Vision Qarnateesi Nazar.
I remember Arzhang has some androidic copies for him to deceive others that Adnan and Arzhang are not
one.
I remember that Arzhang had given a watch to Saleem[probably this name , but not certain] a reporter in
Daily Saiyarah , which could send signals to him in hour of need.
I remember a rebel General who made an android to make government of BOORQIAH fool and ARZHANG
had to capture him. This android claimed to be a super human being from an other planet, which was falsy
claimed to be attacked by an other beings from an other planet.
As a child I was fond of thinking a fight between Superman and Arzhang .
Actually when I first found that the Powers of Super Man are not natural but acquired by Yellow or White or
Blue son , Arzhang won over Super Man in my mind who had Intrinsic Powers on Qartaan.
Qartaan /Krypton was always considered as a planet inhabited by a Race of Super human beings and
Arzhang was just one of them. I always asked my self why Super people of Qartaan did not come to earth by
their own intrinsic Qartaani powers. But my hypothesis was that It was QARNATEES on Qartaan which killed
them since they had no defence against it.
[An other story which I liked as Adam in An other world by some one whose name has scaped my memory
Where a human being astronaut went to an other planet BAHARISTAN and was made a Super man , yet each
and every man on the planet was a Super Human Being. So he was a SUPER normal BEING among Super
normal beings on the planet Baharistan. The next part was named as Adam ki Vapsi [RETURN OF ADAM] but
it was probably never published or I was unable to get a copy of it. But arzhang was unparallel.]
AS A CHILD I WATED FOR THE FORTH VOLUME OF ARZHANG SERIES BUT NEVER FOUND ONE.
PERHAPS IT WAS NEVER WRITTEN.
If I will find one I shall make it free to access for any one who love Arzhang.
As I have forget many things about ARZHANG I request any one who has copies of ARZHAN TO bring it on
SCRIBD.

Once I was recalling Arzhang but I found that I have forgotten many thing about my childhood hero this gave
me an idea to write some thing about him so that his name may remain .

SIR[Mr. MUHAMMAD RAHAT YUNUS] WHERE EVER YOU ARE YOU ARE THE AUTHOR OF MY CHILDHOOD
HERO .I LOVE YOU.But I have a lot of questions which I want to ask.Whyn did you never mension that
Arzhang is borrowed from Super Man. How did you translate the terms Like Kripton to Qartan, Kryptonite to
Qarnatees. Why did you not write the forth part of the series. Why did you choose the name Arzhang for
clark kent. Why you changed Jor El to Jarral and how did you did it. From where you got the name
Mooshaak. There are so many questions which were in my childhood mind, and some have they have
survived in my mind, some of them are deleted from my memory . But you are the man who m,ade me
found of Super heros like Super man, Hulk, Spider Man , Thor, Fantastic Four, Vision[World War II
Torch].How ever it was You who made me to love any character who resemble Super Man in costume or
wore a cape like Thor or Vision etc. And Super Man I loved him just because he was very close to your
Arzhang. Achain reaction of love. Latter on I began to love Iron Man of Marvel comics but Arzhang was my
first love and SuperMan was my second love.
I still love them .
TO THE CRITICS:
YOU MAY SAY ARZHANG WAS JUST A COPY OF SUPERMAN. YES HE WAS BUT TO ME AND PERHAPS TO A
THOUSAND CHILDREN OF MY AGE OF THAT TIME, HE WAS SUPER SUPER MAN , PERHAPS THE ONLY SUPER
MAN PERHAPS THE ONLY SUPER HERO ON EARTH. WHEN I FOUND ARZHANG IS NOT ALONE AND THERE IS A
SUPER MAN AS WELL IT WAS SO PLEASING, THAT CANNOT BE EXPRESSED.
