A Fantastic Hotel
Last summer, my wife and I went to Los Angeles for a week. We stayed with our friend John for the first five days, but we
stayed at a very special hotel on the Saturday and Sunday nights at the end of our visit. We booked a suite at the Luxury
Resort Hotel on the Los Angeles strip. The Luxury is ancient but truly luxurious, and very big!. There are 5,000 rooms and
suites in the hotel and in our suite there were so many TVs: two in the bedroom, one in the living room, and one in the
bathroom! In the bathrooms there are two bathtubs but no Jacuzzis.
You can find everything at the Luxury. Its a small town! There is a casino on the ground floor and there are fifteen
restaurants. On our first night, we ate at the Florentia restaurant. It was fantastic and it wasnt expensive! We went to the
casino on Saturday night but we lost a lot of money there!
The hotel is really amazing. There is a small lake near the entrance, and on the fifth floor there are four swimming pools
and two spas on the fourth floor. I went to the spa while my wife loved swimming. On the third floor, there is a big shopping
area with canals and gondolas. We went on a gondola. I thought I was in Venice!
There are a lot of things to do at the Luxury. You can visit Giottos Art Gallery with copies of paintings from all over the
world. Or you can go to the nightclub or to one of the theaters. There are four of them! We were very interested in visiting
the art gallery but we didnt go dancing, and on Saturday night we saw a movie at the Odeon Theater, and on Sunday we
went to an philatelic exhibition at the hotels museum.
