FEAST OF ALL SAINTS This Sunday, 2
nd
November the Church celebrates the Feast of All
Saints (in old English 'All Hallows' - from which the term 'Halloween' originates - the Eve of All
Hallows). The Feast honours the triumph of God's grace in the lives of all those who are now in
heaven.

ALL SOULS DAY is celebrated on the following day, Monday, 3
rd
November. Here we pray for
all who have died in Gods grace and friendship, but may still need our prayers as they prepare
to enter into the fullness of heaven. This is why we pray and offer Masses for our deceased
relatives and friends during the month of November in particular.

NEXT SUNDAY IS REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY and we pray for the repose of the souls of those
whose lives, in world wars and conflicts past and present, have been given and taken away. We
pray in particular for the servicemen and women who have died in the service of their fellow
citizens and for their bereaved families.

CONGRATULATIONS to Isaac Narinder Xavier Nanda who is to be Baptised on Saturday, 8
