6. FIXED BUGS AND LIMITATIONS
Bugs and limitations already fixed in SW 5.0.30.7
1) WebUI:: Alphabet cannot be entered in Vlan
Vlan-Eth type Field
• Letters can now be entered in Eth type field
2) LPG configuration from WebUI
• LPG Group can be configured from WebUI.
3) Mapping Rule Page for E--LAN service is not user friendly.
• Improved usability of Mapping Rule page of E
E-LAN services
4)

STR20605 / NA04878194: Delayed response in Pseudo wire creation.
When creating multiple PWE in the same device, a slow response from the hub
has been observed in occasional cases. Root causes have been identified and
proper correction has been implemented in this release.

Additional bugs and limitations fixed in SW 5.0.30.8
5) Hello Time and Mac Aging Time are incorrectly displayed in Web LCT.
• Hallo time and mac Aging Time are now correctly displayed
6) In Spanning Tree Management view only CIST instance information is displayed.
• Both CIST and MIST information are displayed
7) Spanning Tree 'Tree Hello Time ' cannot be configured from Web LCT.
• 'Tree Hello Time’ can be configured
Additional bugs and limitations fixed in SW 5.0.31.8
8) STR25763 - P2P Service is using the protected path despite that the working path is up.
Additional bugs and limitations fixed in SW 5.0.31.9
9) The device loses communication and/or traffic after the upgrade process. The problem caused
due to memory corruption occurred on the s/w module which handles the Management traffic.
Additional bugs and limitations fixed in SW 5.0.31.10
10) CESoP services can freeze
ze due to the instability of the information flow transmitted over the
Pseudowire. SW received interrupts from HW regarding the activity of the PW.
• The problem was that the SW doesn’
doesn’t check status of PW in HW after enabling the
interrupts, fixed implemente
implemented
d to check the status of PW in HW after enabling interrupts.
Additional bugs and limitations fixed in SW 5.0.31.12
11) Long strings could cause issues in interaction with management platform causing equipment
reboot.
• Equipment now properly handles long strings

7. HINTS AND PROCEDURES
1) Jitter Buffer and Inactivity Thresholds settings
• Before starting any provisioning of CES services it is needed to set the
proper values of Jitter Buffer depth and Inactivity Threshold parameters on
FPH: if wrong values are set E1 traffic will be affected by errors.
• These parameters can be set by LCT.
• Please refer to configuration guidelines provided by NSN
2) FPH SW download: timeout of FTP session
• In case FPH SW download is interrupted, it is necessary to wait 5
minutes before opening a new FTP session.
3) E1 framing configuration from LCT

When STM1 card is in use, the following framing configurations must be used:
Multi-frame
frame for PCM30 and PCM31 with CRC
Double frame for PCM30 and PCM31 without CRC
• When 8xE1 or 16xE1 cards are used, the following framing configurations
must be used:
Multi-frame
frame for PCM30 and PCM31 with / without CRC
Double frame for PCM30 and PCM31 without CRC
4) FPH Synchronization: procedure with FPR SyncE setting change
• Spare FPR units coming from the factory have the default synchronization setting
(Free Running): in case of doubts about the provenience and the actual sync.
configuration of spare units, it is recommended to verify it by means of local
connection of the LCT
CT to the ODU and set synchronization according to the
correspondent FPH port.
• CAUTION: when FPR has SyncE set to Radio, the attached FPH interface
must be negotiated to Slave; when FPR has SyncE set to Ethernet, the
attached FPH interfaces must be negot
negotiated
iated to Master; other matches are
wrong and can lead to loss of connectivity between the FPR and the FPH.
5) Note on CESoPSN differential clocking
• In case of RF link interruption, RTP messages used by the Differential
Clocking algorithm to reconstruct the output frequency of the different
pseudowire services are no more available: in this condition a real holdover
frequency is not available for the output E1 signals and so their output rates
can be out of the +/--50ppm tolerance.
6) Limitation on STM-1
1 card alarm management
• On FPH with STM-1,
1, the LP_UNEQ alarm on VC12 is not managed.

7) Master / Slave settings of the GE
GE-8 ports with Ethernet Repeater
• When the Ethernet Repeater is used between the FPH and the FPR, the
relevant FPH port must be set as “Master” if the connected FPR is
synchronized on the Ethernet signal, while it must be set as “Slave” if the
connected FPR is synchronized on the Radio signal. This means that the
default
ult setting “Autonegotiation” set by the First Time Installer must be
changed when the Ethernet Repeater is used: this is now possible only from
the CLI interface, by means of the following command:
config-set
set interface ethernet x/y clk
clk-negotiation z where
x=slot number; y=port number; z=master / slave

8) Connection Protection Services
CoS,, to avoid
• Using a connection protection services in case of AF2 or AF3 CoS
continuously switch between main and protection path in case of congestion, it is
necessary to create a services with CIR = 0. Using this workaround, the CCM
802.1p bit is higher than traffic 802.1p bit and setting in proper way FPR QoS,
the continuously
ontinuously switch is not present. (example, CoS AF2, CCM 802.1p
= 3 and traffic 802.1p bit = 2)

In this case, it is not possible to use Apply Customer Priority (ACP) feature on
this service (for ACP it is mandatory to set CIR = PIR)

10) STP on UNI port
• Applying a SW upgrade from 4.5 or from 5.0Drop1 (5.0.0.19 ) to 5.0.10.09, all
UNI ports automatically have STP protocol enable. In this case BDPU packets
are generated on these ports. Since in microwave network scenario it is not
necessaryy to use STP on UNI ports, it is necessary to set by WEB UI the STP
protocol disable on UNI ports.
11) Double Protection Mechanism, connection protection towards two LPGs
• In case of a network scenario with connection protection towards two LPGs
(radio protection),
otection), to avoid a double switch from working
working-protection-working
working
side in case of main radio failure , it is necessary to configure connection
protection switching in un
un-revertive mode.
12) LAG

Only LAG static is released in this release.

12) Increase Services per UNI port feature settings and constraints
• This SVR is able to manage up to 200 services.
• To have a number of services greater than 64 on a UNI port, it is necessary to
apply a setting “non –ordered mode” by WEB UI tool on related port
• These SVR is able to manage up to 200 services.for E
E-LAN and E-LINE
Service. In case of IP mapping rule the available services are:
– If there is at least a UNI port management untagged, the total
services are 200 but only 64 are with IP mapping rule.
– If there is not any UNI port management untagged, the total services are
200 and 128 are with IP mapping rule.

13) FPH 1200 ACP with FPFM200 Multi
Multi-Cos

FPH 1200 ACP Function
(1)ACP supported on E
E-line
(2)For tranlation mode, in UNI egress direction, ACP is not supported (The CC
tag priority can't be recovered)

ACP Working with MultiCos
When the FPFM200 enable the Multi
Multi-Cos
Cos mode on the service the Output P bit of
the S-VLAN
VLAN can be set according to the Mapping Rule and can have all possible
values (From 0 to 7).

• ACP on FPH 1200 R5.0D2: the P bit of S
S-VLAN
VLAN can have following values: 7, 6, and 3,2,1,0. Pbit 5, 4 are reserved for management plane
• In mixed network FM200 and FPH 1200, it is recommended not to use values 5
and 4 for data plane
14) Note on use of FlexiPacket Hub Web UI

Web UI is a local management tool, whose main use is the configuration of
those features not covered by LCT, which includes:
• IEEE1588 Slave Configuration and IEEE1588 U2U, P2P services creation
• ELAN
• STP protocol enable/disable on UNI Ports

15)

Web UI offer to configuration options:
- Web CLI: graphical page to simplify the execution of CLI commands
- Device manager: user friendly Graphical User Interface
All configurations supported by CLI are supported by Web CLI. A subset of
configurations are supported by Device Manager

ELAN Service and MSTI creation from Web UI:
Note that when using ELAN services with 1+1 HSBy ODU Configuration, both
NNI ports of LPG group must be added from Web UI while creating the E-LAN
E
Service.

Hello Time value displayed in Web UI has unit of 10ms.

In default IE window, Web UI MSTI Creation part is not properly sized .i.e.
'Submit' button not visible. Workaround: reduce WebPage item size and create
MSTI instance and change it back to default )

16)

Known Issue: After clear
clear-config
config the SSH server is not working. The work-around
work
is to coldreset it after clear-config.
config.
