FADE IN:
INT. HOUSE - EVENING
The sound of a rural environment is heard. (Monochrome
footage)The back of the house is established and the focus
is on an upstairs window. The environmental sound dies when
the view changes to the inside of the house - the soundtrack
begins when this goes happens. A petite, innocent-looking
teenage girl is seen sat on her bed, her knees tucked under
chin with her arms hugging her own legs. She is pretty but
sorrowful. There is also torn pieces of paper strewn across
the quilt and floor. She moves from the bed to sit at the
chair which is placed in front of a desk with a mirror
above. She picks up a pen from the desk and begins to write
a suicide letter. A name is seen written on the paper:
Matthew

EXT. FLASHBACK 1 - DAY
The (full colour) footage fades in and the girl is seen in a
different costume, looking healthier. She is seen walking
through a woodland area. Her hand and hip are then the only
things that are seen on screen as she stands waiting.
Matthew's hand enters the view and grabs her hand.
(Full colour)A time-lapse of a midday sky is then seen,
representing time passing.

INT. FLASHBACK 2 - DAY

2.
(Full colour)The camera moves down the stairs of the house
to reveal the mum shouting at her daughter - Charlotte, who
is sat at the dining table. The audience does not hear the
Mum shouting; it is as if it is being mimed; the whole view
is in slow motion.

INT. HOUSE - EVENING
(Monochrome)The memory is stopped yet again by the tearing
up of the letter. She begins to cry throwing her head into
her hands, her mascara running down her cheeks.
FADE/DISSOLVE
EXT. FLASHBACK 3 - DAY
(Monochrome)This memory is a re-occurrence of Flashback 1
with the boyfriend leaving her but is not queued by the
writing of a letter, hence the reason it is in black and
white.
INT. HOUSE - EVENING
(Monochrome)The girl is then seen writing: ...and now that
you're gone
She looks at the sleeping pills on the desk next to the
pieces of paper, just in front of a bottle of vodka. She
picks up the pills and consumes them, and picks up more
pills and consumes them and does so many times.
She moves to the bathroom. Her hand is seen turning on the
bath tap – the sound of the water flowing fills the room.
She climbs into the bath with a cold expression. Her head
submerges into the clear water, with her eyes closed. Fade
to black. Soundtrack ends. Film title is seen over black:
Yours Sincerely
EXT. SCENE 1 - MORNING
(Full colour) A time-lapse of a reverse sunrise is seen with
the titles seen at the bottom of the screen: Three months
earlier
