30 minutes REMINDERS TO THE TEACHER:  Adapt the lesson according to the attention span of the children. It doesn’t need to be too long, as long as you explain the lesson well.  Biblical authority: When teaching, make sure you are holding your bible, not the curriculum.  Animate your voice. Avoid teaching in a monotonous voice.  Use visual aids.  Prepare your materials beforehand (bible, curriculum, visual aids, craft sample and craft materials)  Point to Jesus. Always make sure that the focus of the lesson is Jesus, not the characters of the story, etc.  Debrief with your co-teacher before and after class to show unity in your teaching. Make sure both of you know each lesson by heart.  Be sensitive to each child’s needs.  Pray.

That same God who made the heavens and the earth wants you to be His friend! And not only does He want to be your friend, He also wants you to be a part of His family! Do you want to know why? Because He loves you! You are special in His sight. He created you just as you are, and He has a plan for you. Psalm 119:13-14; Jeremiah 29:11 How does     God show His love for us? No matter who you are, God loves you.

Introduction: We just sang “I want to be your friend” a while ago. There’s someone else who wants to be your friend too. Do you know who that is? (God) Who is God? (let kids answer) God is The King. DAY 2: All Have Sinned: Jesus is the Answer Objectives: 1. To realize that all of us have sinned. 2. To know that only Jesus is the answer to our problems. I. II. Opening Prayer Song Icebreaker  “Dip-Dip” III. Bible Lesson Introduction: Yesterday we learned that god loves us so much and that He wants us to be His friend. (Review yesterday’s lesson) Man has a problem. In Romans 3:23, it says that “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” How did sin enter the world? Story: The Fall of Man (Genesis 3) Because of sin, our connection with God was broken. (Show Figure 1) God is a holy God, meaning He can’t stand to be around sin. He hates sin. Our sin separates us from God. There is nothing man can do to save us from sin. (Show Figure 2) No matter how beautiful you are, how rich, how talented, or how good you are, you are still separated from God.

Is there no hope? There is! Because God loves us so much, He formulated a solution to our problem. Read John 3:16 and Romans 6:23. God sent us His one and only Son to die for our sins. Only Jesus can save us from sin because only He is perfect. He has no sin. Therefore only by accepting Jesus in our hearts as our Lord and Savior will we be saved from sin. (Show Figure 3)

IV.

Memory Verse: Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Sinner’s Prayer  God, who is King of everything, wants you to be a part of His kingdom.  God loves you so much that He wants you to have eternal life.  Lead the children in a prayer of commitment to Jesus Christ.  When you have prayed that prayer sincerely, you are now a part of God’s royal family. Crafts  “The Bridge” Illustration

DAY 3: Faith is the Key Objectives: 1. To know what faith is. 2. To know how to be a true follower of Jesus Christ. I. II. Opening Prayer Song Icebreaker  “Dip-Dip” III. Bible Lesson Introduction: Yesterday, we learned that Jesus died for our sins. He paid the price in order to set us free from sin and death. We prayed a prayer of commitment saying that we will live our lives for Jesus. Today we will learn about FAITH.  Living our lives for Jesus involves faith.  Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.”  By believing that only Jesus can save us, we have faith. Story: Mark 2:1-12 (Jesus Heals a Paralytic)

Because of their faith in Jesus, their friend was healed. And because he believed in Jesus, his sins were forgiven. The Bible says that without faith, we cannot please God. Read Hebrews 11:6. But it also says that faith without deeds (actions) is dead (James 2:17). We must act on our belief in Jesus. Living our lives for Jesus also means that we are to follow His commands. Because we love him, we will obey Him. John 14:15 “If you love me, you will obey what I command.” How can we know the things that Jesus wants us to do?  By reading His Word – the Bible – daily.  Through prayer.  By going to church every Sunday. IV. Memory Verse: Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please God...” V. Closing Prayer: Dear God, thank you for loving me. Thank you for sending your Son Jesus to die on the cross for my sins. Lord, I want to live my life for you. I want to obey you. Help me as I follow you. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen. VI. Crafts  The King and I Notebook o Includes illustrations and memory verses from day one up to day three. o Students are to design their own notebook.
