A solider's poem:
If i die in a war zone,
box me up and send me home,
Put my medals on my chest,
Tell my mom i did my best
Tell my dad not to bow, he wont get tension from me,
Now tell my brother to study perfectly, keys of my bike will be his
permanently,
Tell my sister not to be upset, her brother will not rise after the sunset,
And tell my lover not to cry, cause,

I'm a solider, born to die

Jo lehron se aage nazar dekh paati toh tum jaan lete main kya sochta hoon,
Wo aawaz tumko bhi jo bhed jaati toh tum jaan lete main kya sochta hoon.
Zid ka tumhare jo parda sarakta ,khidkiyon se aage bhi tum dekh paate,
Aankhon se aadaton ki jo palken hatate toh tum jaan lete main kya sochta hoon.
Meri tarah hota agar khud par zara bharosa toh kuchh door tum bhi saath-saath
aate,
Rang meri aankhon ka baant-te zara sa ,toh kuchh door tum bhi saath-saath aate,
Nasha aasmaan ka jo choomta tumhe , hasraten tumhari naya janm paatin,

Khud doosre janam mein meri udaan chhoone kuchh door tum bhi saath-saath
aate....

The impossible Dream
---The Poem Of La Mancha
To dream the impossible dream..
To fight the unbeatable foe..
To bear the unbearable sorrow..
To run where the brave dare not to go..
To love the pure and chest from a far..
To right the unforgivable wrong..
To try when your arms are too weary..
To reach that unreachable star..
This is my quest.. to follow that star..
No matter how place.. no matter how far..
To fight for the right..
without questions.. without pause..
To be willing to march into hell..
For heavenly cause....

Dilon mein tum apni betabiyan leke chal rahe ho.

Toh zinda ho tum!
Nazar mein khwaabon ki bijliyan leke chal rahe ho
Toh zinda ho tum!
Hawa ke jhonkon ke jaise aazad rehna seekho..
Tum ek dariya ke jaise, leharon mein behna seekho..
Har ek lamhe se tum milo khole apni baahein..
Har ek pal ek naya samaa dekhiye..
Jo apni aankhon mein hairaniyan leke chal rahe ho
Toh zinda ho tum!

Dilon mein tum apni betabiyan leke chal rahe ho

Toh zinda ho tum!

Another one :
Ik baat honton tak hai jo aayi nahin
Bas ankhon say hai jhaankti
Tumse kabhi, mujhse kabhi
Kuch lafz hain woh maangti
Jinko pehanke honton tak aa jaaye woh
Aawaaz ki baahon mein baahein daalke ithlaye woh
Lekin jo yeh ik baat hai
Ahsas hi ahsas hai
Khushboo si hai jaise hawa mein tairti
Khushboo jo be-aawaaz hai
Jiska pata tumko bhi hai
Jiski khabar mujhko bhi hai
Duniya se bhi chupta nahin
Yeh jaane kaisa raaz hai..!

If
If freckles were lovely, and day was night,
And measles were nice and a lie warnt a lie,
Life would be delight,
But things couldnt go right
For in such a sad plight
I wouldnt be I.
If earth was heaven and now was hence,
And past was present, and false was true,
There might be some sense

But Id be in suspense
For on such a pretense
You wouldnt be you.
If fear was plucky, and globes were square,
And dirt was cleanly and tears were glee
Things would seem fair,
Yet theyd all despair,
For if here was there
We wouldnt be we.

Where the Mind is without fear" by Tagore

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake

Believing in Bernoulli
I think of you, Monsieur Bernoulli,
Every time I look out of the airplane window
And see the wing tilt bravely into the air.

I think of my faith
That your physics will not fail, that the flow
Of air over that wing
Will every time
Create low pressure, a rush, an undertow
Of air to bear us aloft.
And of you, Isaac Newton,
Your third law of motion. When I see below:
Clouds and continents
Traversed as the jets thrust back
I feel safe enough to close my eyes and know
Your laws will work
Every time.- Arun Kumar
Reprise on Believing in Bernoulli
--------------------------------As wings take flight
we salute Daniel
who derived from conservation
the Bernoulli principle.
His unscrupulous father
sought to usurp his finding
by deliberately predating
his own deliberation.
Shame on you, Johaan,
for genius you were, too,
but wracked by jealousy
for your son and your brother.
Little wonder, then,
that your pupil, Guillaume
Franois Antoine, Marquis de l'Hpital
stole that which you taught him,
by fair means, of course,
and published the rule
that still bears his name.

Intertwined here
by his third law of motion
is that genius Newton,
and the great controversy
with Gottfried Leibniz
as to who took the first steps
in the calculus method.
l'Hpital indeed did publish
some more based on Leibniz
although he acknowledged
that Newton had based his
Principia principally
on the same abstruse methods.
In search of such glories
did these valiants usurp
the fine work of Madhava,
the genius of Sangamagrama.
He sought nothing more
that the joy in his work.
Indeed what we have
is mainly from shishyas
who nevertheless
sing the song of their guru.
Legend has it that methods
of calculus, algebra,
geometry, trigonometry,
and the study of the infinite
series were carried to Europe
by Jesuits and others,
and probably fuelled
their subsequent studies
that now stand attributed
to their fair names.
So Daniel and Isaac,
you stand saluted
as the fruit of your work
lends confidence to
the man in the window seat
winging his way
and remembering you.

Pray spare a thought

for the source of your glory.
It lies in the bosom
of the land of the youth of
the reflective traveller.-reprise of#believing in Bernoulli..
