THE GATHERING had a wonderful first service this past

Sunday morning. My thanks to all who came to worship and all

who led in worship. I know God is going to use this service in a
mighty way. Tell your friends to join this Sunday Morning at THE
GATHERING, 9AM in the youth building.
Today was Tuesday, Veterans Day. I want to join the choir
of many who say Thank You to all our Veterans for their sacrifice
and service. I am writing this article because of the veterans who
have served, some dying, to give me the freedom of religious
expression. I cannot say thank you enough .
Have any plans for January 24? Bill Johnson of Reach the
Nations Church in Clarkston will be with us on invitation of the
Missions Committee. Pastor Bill will be leading a seminar on
Assimilation. He will be teaching those interested in Refugee
Ministry to better understand the mindset of a refugee and how to
best share the Gospel with them. A growing number of our folks
are interested in this type ministry. More will be shared in the days
ahead. Pastor Bill will also be sharing with us in both morning
worship services on that date.
We will reach and exceed our goal of 200 shoe boxes. So
far around 177 have been delivered to J & J Antiques in
Bainbridge, the drop off point. I know of many more that are
coming in. If you did not bring your shoebox to the church you may
drop it off directly at J&J Antiques, 1204 Dothan Rd, Bainbridge.
Shoe boxes will be received through Friday, Nov. 21.
Praise with us, pray with us and practice the faith with us at
First Baptist Church. I look forward to seeing you this week.

If you have made a RESERVATION to this event, then
this note is for you! The Saints Alive Choir has a traditional get together with our friends from FBC Moultrie and
FBC Valdosta. We are hosting this event here in our Fellowship Hall on Thursday, November 20. The starting
time for this event has been moved up to 11:30 AM, but I
am asking those who attend to arrive earlier to show your
hospitality by meeting and greeting our friends from out of
town. Our program will be led by Jim Chester, better know
as the EVANGELLUSIONIST. Jim shares the gospel of
Jesus through entertainment and humor.
Special thanks to Alison Barber, Erin Timmons and Jeff
Baxley for sharing worship music with us last Sunday
morning. Thank you for the great Spirit-led music in our 9
a.m. Contemporary Service.
Thanks for sharing Ill Fly Away in the evening worship
last Sunday night. The BARACA Sunday School Class is a
great place to study Gods Word, worship and fellowship. If
you are looking for a great mens Bible study group, look
no further than the BARACA Class.
Join us on Sunday, November 23, as we participate in a Community Thanksgiving Service, held at Nelson Chapel A.M.E.
Church. Our choirs are invited to join in the community choir
which will sing that night. The service begins at 7 PM.

Wrap Bainbridge in Love Saturday, December 13

10 am - Noon
The Children's Sunday School Department and Missions Committee is
hosting a present wrapping table for our community. We will wrap
presents at no cost and request no donations. We just want to show
Bainbridge some love. The location is still "under wraps" but will be
announced soon. We would love to include you in our event! You can
help in the following ways:
1. Come and wrap gifts. Please call the office to be included as a
participant. We want to keep you in the loop.
2. Donate tape, and money towards gift wrap and supplies. Paper is
cheaper in bulk, and we can get TONS at a very reasonable cost.
Please consider supporting this effort as means of presenting the
3. Come and build relationships. As the people wait for their presents,
we will need those who will talk with the people to make them feel
welcome, pray with them, invite them to church and, of course, share
Jesus, the Reason for the Season. Call the office to be included as a

This Sunday evening our students will be participating in our

monthly Do Something service project. We will be meeting at the
church at 5:00 and will be helping out with the Family Connections
Backpack Project. This mission opportunity will allow our students
to pack backpacks that provide meals for students at the elementary
schools for the weekends. This is a great opportunity for our
students to make a splash in Bainbridge! Please encouraged your
student to be a part of this opportunity. We will be back at the
church in time for the evening service.
November 24 is a day that our students also have another
opportunity to serve our community. We will be helping to decorate
the public library. We will meet at the church at 8:45 and should be
finished about lunch time. Lunch will be provided.
Mark Sunday night, November 30 on your calendar. The students
will be leading the evening service that night. Please make plans to
attend! Your presence speaks volumes to the teenagers of this
church. Come and show them that you support and love them.
