SERIES

DBV-WF/LU SERIES
2- 24 (50mm-600mm)
Dorot is proud to offer a high quality line of buttery
valves to meet the requirements of todays market.
Combining years of eld experience, research and
development, Dorot has added numerous unique
features to the Series DBV- WF/ LU.
The results are longer service life, greater reliability,
ease of parts replacement and interchangeability of
components.

Design Features

Dorots Series DBV: WF (Wafer) valve or a version

with threaded bores- the LU valve.
Flange-locating Lug version can be used for deadend service. All Dorot valves are tested to 110% of
full pressure rating before shipment.
A major design advantage of Dorot valve product

lines is international compatibility. The same valve

is compatible with most world ange standards
- ANSI Class 125/150, BS 10 Tables D & E, BS4504
NP 10/16, DIN ND10/16, AS 2129 and JIS 10. In
addition, the valves are designed to comply with ISO
5752 face-to-face and ISO 5211 actuator mounting
anges.
Therefore, one valve design can be used in many
different world markets. Due to a modular concept of
design, Dorot manual levers or gear operators can
be mounted directly on Dorot valves, No brackets or
adapters are required.
Dorot interchangeability and compatibility offers
you the best uniformity of product line and low- cost
performance.

Product Advantages
Wafer or Lug- style valve, to be installed between
two anges at any position.
Sealed stem and gear provide longer life span.
Low torque required to activate the valve under
pressure, due to low- friction stem bushing.
Can be installed in a manhole, the extra long neck
allows easy activation.
Square stem, allowing convenient assembly of gear
box and pneumatic / electric actuators.

Application
Pumping stations
Irrigation main lines and block isolation
Municipal water networks
Industrial water supply
Cooling towers

Installation

Selection Data

1. Locate the disc in a partially- open position.

2. Place the valve body between the pipe anges and
install ange bolts. Do not use ange gaskets.
3. Carefully open the disc to the fully-open position, ensure
proper alignment with the adjacent pipes.
4. Leave disc in the fully-open position and tighten ange
bolts per required specications. Once bolts are
tightened, then carefully move the disc to closed position.
5. Horizontal position of the stem is preferred.

Specications of
DOROT Series DBV- WF/ LU:
Epoxy coated Ductile iron, wafer or lug bodies.
Series LU: Lug- type with ange- locating
bores to ANSI 125/150, BS 10 Tables D & E,
BS4504 PN 10/16, DIN ND10/16, AS 2129
or JIS 10 standards.
Mechanically-retained Stem in body neck.
No part of stem or body is exposed to pipeline media.
For weld- neck and slip- on anges, the seat is
totally encapsulates the body. No ange gaskets
are required.
Spherically- machined, hand polished disc providing
excellent sealing.
Non-corrosive bearings.
Bi-directional ow, tested to 110% of
pressure rating.
Pressure rating:
- 2- 12 valves are rated 230psi / PN16
- 14- 20 valves are rated 150psi / PN10

Maintenance and Repair

The high performance features minimize wear and
maintenance requirements. No routine lubrication is required.
All components - stem, disc, seat, bushing stem seal etc. are
eld- replaceable, no adjustment is needed. If components
require replacement, remove the valve from the line:
locate the disc in closed position, spread the anges,
support the valve, and then remove the ange bolts. No
valve maintenance, including removal of manual or power
actuators, should be performed until the piping system is
completely depressurized.

Lug bodies used at dead- end service,

with downstream anges, pressure ratings are
as stated above.
Zero- Outlet pressure, without downstream ange:
- 2- 12 valves are rated 75psi / PN6
- 14- 20 valves are rated 50psi / PN4
No eld adjustment is necessary to maintain
optimum eld performance.

Founded in 1946, DOROT is a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer
of a wide range of superior quality automatic control valves. DOROTs
experienced Research & Development Dept. has a long tradition of generating
innovative solutions for the application of water control systems. These
include, waterworks distribution networks, sewage and efuent disposal,
re protection, mining and irrigation systems.
DOROTs commitment to excellence begins with using the highest quality
materials. The companys engineering experts are constantly working to
provide customers with a broad range of valve patterns and sizes in a wide
variety of metals and grades including: Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, Cast Steel,
SST, Bronze, Marine Bronze, Polyamide and P.V.C.
The experts at DOROT custom-design each valve application according to
specic control requirements. Most of the production process, which
includes machining and coating, takes place in modern in-house facilities.
Before leaving the factory, each product is hydraulically tested. An advanced
testing laboratory simulates the anticipated eld conditions.
With distribution in more than 70 countries world-wide, a key component
of the DOROT difference is its outstanding customer service. This includes
eld assistance, technical advice, training programs and follow-up
consultations.
It is all of these factors that make DOROT a leader in uid control technology
and customer satisfaction.
