Skill Two: Read and Retell.
Retell the Chapter called Unusual Transportation in the Sky and write a
paragraph about the Hindenburg. The Hindenburg was the largest airship ever
built. For the $400 ticket passengers could relax in large luxurious lounges. In
1937 it was docking in Lakehurst, New Jersey. It was a stormy night, and
suddenly its tail fin caught fire. Within 34 seconds, flames engulfed the whole
airship. Of the 97 people on board, 36 died, and many more injured.
