Quantitative Techniques for Decision-Making

A. The objectives of the course may be specified as follows:

To build analytical skills.


To interpret and analyse data relevant for resolution of decisions.
To orient students think about managerial problems in a quantitative framework.
To make them aware of the basic statistical tools that can be applied for decision
making.
Special attention will be given on the application areas relevant to the various
functional areas of Management.

By placing a diverse set of decision making problems before the students, their
decision-making abilities can be evaluated based on their expertise learned from
the paper for visualization, translation and utilization of appropriate statistical
tools for a best possible decision. Their QE will be measured through numerous
evaluations which include several discriminatory tests and project work.
