2010 NPCA Member Group Renewal

Why? NPCA promotes/markets our groups, collects and processes group membership
dues and deposits funds directly in group accounts monthly. In return, all NPCA
member groups must do the same for NPCA; that is, they must promote NPCA
membership and link to NPCA’s website. (See the Group Leaders Forum online for the
logo you may use.) This annual renewal process confirms that these groups exist, that
they are active and that they are fiscally responsible.

All member groups must submit the following:

1. Completed Group Activities Summary* (included in this packet)
2. Activities and financial reports – We encourage groups to post an
annual report (narrative and financial information) to the group’s website
and/or publish in the group newsletter. Alternately, groups can submit:
• financial report (unless you manage no money) and
• a summary of your group’s activities in 2009 and a description of
your communications with members. (You may refer to previously published
reports. Click here for the listing of the latest communications we have
received here at NPCA.)

What’s new for 2010?

• At this time last year, we were preparing to launch NPCA’s own Peace
Corps Connect and Connected Peace Corps websites. Over this year,
we’ve identified ways to enhance these tools to better connect, inform,
engage and grow the Peace Corps community. With the proliferation of
other forms of social media, we would like to know who is using what and
how we are reaching a broader audience.
• The 50th anniversary of Peace Corps will be celebrated starting less than
one year from now – what is your group planning? (See our November
2009 webinar for ideas.)

The official 2010 deadline for group renewal is March 31, 2010.
