Oh our liver...its probably one of the most under appreciated organs we have. It takes
the brunt every time we drank too much, smoked or eaten poorly. Your livers function
influences how you feel emotionally too, so if youve been up to no good, you might have
felt frustrated, depressed or even angry. But the Sexy Liver Detox will help to turn it
all around.

The Stages of the Sexy Liver Detox plan


The new Sexy Liver Detox plan was a huge hit last year but this year I wanted to make it
better than ever. So Ive introduced three stages to the plan:

Stage I: The Prep Stage (3 days)

Since detoxing can produce some negative side effects, Ive created this stage to help
ease you into the plan so that side effects are reduced substantially. By doing so, your
success rate actually improves since most people will give up when the side effects
become too much.

Stage III: The After Detox Plan (3 days)


Here is where many people kick themselves in the, you know what. They go full force
with a plan then revert to old habits in a big way. After all summer is around the corner. So
here is what Ive done:

At the end of the recipe section, there's an entire section on: Cheat
recipes. These are hardly cheats because they're good for you, but it
will be a great addition for your maintenance plan.
How to incorporate some of your previous pleasures (like coffee and
alcohol) in a balanced way
Oh, and if you party a little too much, Ill show you ways to prevent a
hangover and recover from one

There are so many benefits to detoxing your liver like clear skin, bright eyes, better
digestion and possibly weight loss. This might actually become a way of life for you.
In the meantime, the next section of this kit will give you some background on how the
liver functions from an East-meets-West perspective. Youll get a greater understanding of
the physical, emotional and spiritual manifestations resulting from an imbalanced liver.
You ready? Lets do this.

The Physical
Side

Let me start by saying this: if the liver had a Facebook account, it would begin by saying
that its relationship with you is complicated. It has over 560 functions! The liver plays
a key role in most metabolic processes in your system along with detoxification (which
is why were all here, right?). Its constantly bombarded with toxic chemicals from our
environment, including those produced internally. Thats right - we actually make toxins in
our body. Our liver neutralizes those bad boys and eliminates them through a fluid called
bile, then out through our poop. Yep, I said it, poop.

SHIT TALK
This isnt exactly a popular subject, but frankly you can tell a lot about your health from
your poop. Think of your toilet as a crystal ball...er...porcelain ball...um...you understand
what Im getting at. Essentially, it gives you signs on whats really going on internally.

LIVER QI STAGNATION: PELLET POOP & MORE!


I think weve all experienced this: all your efforts on the can results in nothing but, what
looks like, kibble. Or it comes out like a rapid-fire BB gun.
You might suffer from teary eyes, and youre forced to wear waterproof mascara. If the
livers Qi is obstructed, then our eyes become teary, as the liver has a direct relationship
with the eyes and moistens them.
These symptoms are a result of liver Qi stagnation. According to Chinese Medical
philosophy, the root cause of imbalance is trapped energy. This happens as a result of
stress, dietary and lifestyles factors. One of our livers roles is to ensure the smooth flow
of Qi (a.k.a. vital energy). And when our Qi is running smoothly, we have pretty, bright
eyes and well-formed poop.

HEAT & BLOOD DEFICIENCY: CONSTIPATION AND MORE


FUN STUFF!
Push it...push it real good...yet, its still not moving! Constipation could be a result of
liver Qi stagnation (since theres no proper flow to move things along), a buildup of heat
blocking the livers function, or a blood deficiency (since the liver produces blood and
lubricates the system).
With heat in the system, we can exhibit a variety of symptoms from headaches (especially
migraines), dizziness and high blood pressure. Heat builds up in the system in a variety
of ways: overconsumption of intoxicants, fats, meats, cheese and eggs. So in this kit, we
focus on lightening up the load so we can aid in the smooth flow of Qi and reduce heat in
the system. Yep, youll be cool as a cucumber by the time Im done with you.
With blood deficiency, we may exhibit symptoms of anemia, fatigue, general dryness in
the body, muscle spasms, numbness, pale fingernails and floaters in our vision. So in this
detox, Ive included some blood-building foods to get more colour into your face, give you
silky-smooth skin and boost your energy.

OTHER PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS


From a physical perspective, theres a lot of information I could throw at you, but instead,
Id like you to remember that the liver has two crucial roles:
1. Filtration (of those nasty toxins)
2. Bile production (the fluid that transports those nasty toxins)
If we struggle with either one of those processes we end up with:

Bloating and indigestion


Acne or other inflammatory skin ailments
Red and or watery eyes
Heavy or painful periods
Breast tenderness around our periods

TYPES OF LIVER ABUSE: THE OBVIOUS & NOT SO OBVIOUS


Heres the thing - weve all abused our livers. None of us are innocent, including me.
However, what most of us dont realize is that our liver can be abused in ways we might
not even realize.
Types of liver abuse:

Lack of sleep
Over exercise
Stress, anger and frustration
Alcohol
Caffeine
Sugar
Processed, refined and nutrient-deficient foods
Drugs
Cigarettes
Poor dental health

Whether its the driver that wont move out of the fast lane or the boss that pisses you
off, youre frustrated. You fell in the toilet bowl at 2am because your partner forgot to put
the toilet seat down yet again, and youre about to lose your shit (figuratively not literally
people). Youre moody these days, feeling stuck and unmotivated. Or maybe youve been
grappling with depression.
Time to pull the breaks, because heres your reality check...
Believe it or not, the livers energetic and physical health has a profound influence on
our emotional state. Traditional Chinese Medical theory will tell you that a healthy liver
establishes smooth and soothing flow of energy through us in both body and mind. When
the liver is harmonious, there is never stress or tension. Rather were calm, naturally
effective as leaders, and sound decision makers.

On the flip side, when things arent running smoothly (Liver Qi stagnation), theres a
buildup of heat or we have blood deficiency, were left feeling run down emotionally or
completely on edge.
Knowing that our emotions can result in a physical manifestation, our health is dictated
not only by what we eat and drink, but also how we think and feel as well.
And what about our spirit? Does it play a role in all this too?

SEXY LIVER DETOX 101: SPIRITUAL SIDE


Whether or not youre a spiritual person, its important to note that there is a spiritual
side of your organs and cannot be ignored. The livers soul is called, Hun according
to Chinese Medical theory - when in balance, our spirit is vibrant and provides us with
creative drive, assertiveness and the power to lead a task and finish it to completion.
From a chakra perspective the liver pertains to the third chakra, which relates to our
personal power and self-esteem. When in balance we can expect to feel confident,
generate action and take risks. Our ethics are strong, were generous and we have a
strong character.

So how do we know when our livers spiritual juju has been thrown into a tizzy? Here are
some symptoms to look out for:
Deficiency symptoms:

Fears of rejection or criticism


All fears relating to physical appearance
Unreliability

The need to be right or have the last word
Manipulative
Temper tantrums or hyperactive

My biggest beef with detox kits is that they never address the spiritual or emotional
component. When we detox, stuff surfaces. We can become emotional and old
issues can arise. So how do we deal with it all?

For our 14-day journey together, Im giving you homework. Yep, dust off those books
people, because youll be doing a deep dive on values and belief systems that might be
holding you back.
Time to dust away those cobwebs on our souls because were about to polish it up and
let it shine.

You may hear negative smack talk from co-workers, family members, spouses and
friends who might challenge your decision to cleanse. Heck, you may even hear it in your
head! Whatever the case is, its only 14-days and thats only two weeks people! Whatever
you do, keep your head up, look straight ahead and know that youll be hearing from me
to cheer you through! You can do this!

WHAT YOULL NEED


The following is a list of things that I strongly suggest you pick up for your detox. Other
than the blender listed, the rest arent necessities, however they will certainly make your
14-day journey more effective. Here is the low down...

For your kitchen:

A BLENDER

Ill admit I am hopelessly in love with my Vitamix blender. However if you dont have one,
you can do either one of two things: you can purchase one through my site (roughly
$400) and save on the shipping or you use an alternative. Alternatives are any other highpowered blender or even something as simple as a Magic Bullet. Were going to be doing
some major smoothie action, so get ready people.

For your body: the outside

DRY SKIN BRUSH OR LOOFAH SPONGE


I am absolutely hooked on brushing my skin. Why? Well if you factor in that your skin is
your largest organ and is responsible for excreting one pound of waste per day, youdget
my drift. I mean imagine, that dead stuff is otherwise clinging to your skin. Would you
want to get into bed with that? But wait...arent we cleansing the liver? True, but a dryskin
brush/loofah sponge aids in circulation, which we need when were detoxing. Not to
mention, dry skin brushing also helps to reduce the look of cellulite. Now are you with
me?
The best part is its pretty inexpensive and can be found at any health food store or drug
store.

HAVING THE GUTS FOR EXTREMES!


Having the guts for extremes sounds a little silly, but its true, why: because Im asking
you to do hydrotherapy three times a week. Hydrotherapy involves changing from hot
and cold water to create a natural blood circulation pump in the body. This allows
the body to move stagnant energy, toxins & hormones in the body. Hydrotherapy is
incredible for inflammation, which most people have to some degree.

Directions: At the end of your shower turn off the hot water and allow the very cold
water to cover you entirely for 15 seconds. Then turn the water to almost as hot as
you can stand it (without burning yourself of course) and allow it to cover you for 30
seconds. Do this for a total of five minutes pulsing between cold and hot ending with
hot. Perform this act of guts 3x a week!

For your body: the insides


The following is a list of supplements that I strongly recommend as part of this process.
They arent mandatory, but they will make your detox experience more effective. A
detailed instructional guide is provided in the Stage II section on the recommended
uses.If you have any medical conditions that youre concerned about, please contact
your medical doctor before beginning any of these.

COCONUT OIL FOR CULINARY & OIL PULLING USE


Oil pulling? What the heck is that, right? Believe it or not, this is a fantastic addition to
detoxing. In fact this method that requires you to swoosh around coconut oil in your
mouth dates back 5,000 years. Traditionally in Ayurvedic Medicine, sesame oil was
used, but I love coconut oil for its antimicrobial and antifungal properties. By allowing
plaque, bacteria, parasites, etc. to bind to the oil, your oral health will improve and
prevent it from going further into the body. People doing daily oil pulling will experience
whiter teeth and reduced congestion among many other health benefits.
Directions: First thing in the morning, swoosh around your mouth for 15-20mins and
then spit out. Dont gargle or swallow it because the oil will accumulate toxins from your
mouth! *Full protocol can be seen in the Stage II plan.

PSYLLIUM FIBRE
I have added psyllium fibre because it will help to move the bowels and push out
toxicity, which is crucial to a detox regime. If your bowels arent moving along, youll
recycle the toxins back into the bloodstream. You can find psyllium in bulk stores
sometimes, but generally youll find psyllium in health food stores. I suggest using the
powder and not the capsules, since in my experience, it tends to work more effectively.

Directions: Begin with 12 tsp in a glass of tepid water and drink as fast as possible
since it will thicken. Follow up with another glass of water right after. Its important
to note that if you arent consuming 1.5-2L of water per day then youll become
constipated which will do the reverse than what were looking for.

*Full protocol in Stage II of your plan.

MSM POWDER
The one question I receive the most from my Red Couch Confessions is what do I do
to get strong healthy hair? My answer? MSM. This organic sulfur compound is foundin
every living organism and is needed for strong hair, skin and nails. Think about it,
every gotten too close to birthday candles and singed your hair? I have and it smells
like sulfur! Not to mention, its found in many boxed formulations found in health food
stores for its role in detoxing, which is why it made the list! MSM is necessary for
moving toxins out of the liver as well as rebuilding healthy liver cells. Without getting
too technical here, I can tell you that toxins need to be bound to sulfur. When they are,
theyre rendered essentially inert so they can be safely eliminated through the gut
meaning poop out, beauty in. MSM is completely safe to take however well be starting
off slowly at roughly 12 tsp per day.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR


Apple cider vinegar is a new addition to this years plan because it helps the body
maintain healthy pH levels, stimulates the bodys cardiovascular stimulation and is a
natural liver cleanser. Many of my patients have felt improvements in their energy levels
by using this daily. Other health benefits include weight loss, clearer complexion and
brighter eyes. This will give your liver the good morning kick it needs.

*Apple cider vinegar can be found in the Morning Liver Tonic recipe can be found in
the recipe portion and protocol of Stage II.

For deep down: emotions and spirit


I wish someone told me about the emotional component behind detoxing, because if
I knew about it, I would have prepared myself. So having gone through this before, I
figured Id give you some prep tools, plus the perspective youll need to get through
it.Now before we begin, let me clarify that everyone is different. Some of you may
experience mild to no emotional symptoms, while others will really feel a purge. Your
symptoms will be based on how much youve repressed and the state of your health.
And while Im not a religious individual, there is one saying I found that has helped me:
Let Go & Let God. So sometimes you have to realize that you have to surrender and
not try to control everything.

PURCHASE A NOTEBOOK
Written word is a powerful tool for reflection, releasing and manifesting things in our life.
Make this a pleasant experience and not a chore. What helps me is taking pleasure at
purchasing a beautiful notebook that resonates with me. Youll need a notebook as part
of this plan since exercises include manifestations, thoughts, feelings and intentions
that I will be asking you do.
Here is your exercise:
Begin by writing down the emotion you most grapple with in life:
Examples are: I fear this., Im resentful because of this, Im frustrated because of
this, Im angry because I wish this didnt happen to me

Once youre able to identify the emotion and situation that the person is associated to,
then list out how it served you.
Example: Im frustrated because I wish I could shed the weight.
How does the weight serve you?
Are you able to stay out of the spotlight and not be the focus of attention?
Do you save more time in the kitchen being overweight?
Do you get less sexual attention that would otherwise make you feel uncomfortable?
Are you less like or resemble someone in your family that you dont respect?

*Bring this list to your Skype session so we can discuss further but really think
about how the situation serves you and well go from there.

CAMERA OR CAMERA SMART PHONE


This might sound bizarre but youll need something to snap photos of for your weekly
homework. Ill be suggesting an exercise you can do that will take two seconds that will
give you perspective. I will be asking you to share online on either The Sexy Liver Detox
portal page or on Twitter under the hashtag, #SexyLiverDetox. In the section entitled,
The Plan, youll get the full instructions.

EXERCISE
Not everyone is into getting in touch with their inner pretzel and going to a yoga
class. However, exercise is crucial to move your Livers Qi. So Id like you to dedicate
exercising simply 20 minutes a day, three times a week even if its as simple as going
for a long walk to reflect.

PREPPING YOUR KITCHEN WARDROBE


I take my kitchen wardrobe pretty damn seriously. Now maybe this is new to you, but
what you have in your kitchen cabinets and in your fridge is just as important as whatis
in your bedroom wardrobe. The purpose behind detoxing is getting out the junk so you
can stop feeling like junk and start looking all polished and shiny. Once you do, the
clothes in your closet might fit a little better and youll wear them with more confidence.

But you cant do that without making sure you outfit your insides. So this is where a little
prep work can go a long way. Its sort of like when you go through your wardrobe and
throw out that ratty sweater or pair of jeans you know youll never wear. Consider this
as an opportunity to buy yourself a whole new wardrobe...for your insides. Dont get
scared now, it wont cost you a fortune and its easy people. Trust me when I say youll
thank me for it.

REMOVE ALL TEMPTATIONS


I know you might have an attachment to those cookies or chips. But I need you to part
with it. Make your man eat it, give them to your neighbour or chuck them in the trash.
Out of sight, out of mind!

PREPPING FOR YOUR DETOX DATE


The biggest complaint I get from people is that eating healthy takes time and that its
work. But if you simply take half hour when coming from shopping, you can get all the
prep work done so our date for first week goes nice and smoothly. I mean, you spend
about half hour at minimum getting ready for a night out, so is it too much to ask for
you to spend the same amount of time to be ready for the week? Ya...I thought so. No
excuses people.
So here are some tips:
Unpack everything the second you get home, dont just leave it there for later, do it right
away.Carrots & celery: wash, cut & store into Ziploc bags for quick useLeafy greens:
Chop stems, rinse in cold water, pat dry and put into a Ziploc bag sucking as much air
out of it as possible.
Fresh herbs: Store in an air-tight containerParsley & cilantro: Untie bundle, cut ends
and store in a bowl of water in the fridge

SHOPPING
One of the biggest questions I get is, Are you going to make me eat weird shit I cant
pronounce? Um no people, if anything, Im going to take you away from eating weird
shit that youre already eating that you cant pronounce. I mean seriously, can you say
glyceryl distearate five times fast? What Im referring to are preservatives that are most
commonly found in processed foods and most them are liver toxins that we can most
certainly do without.
At any rate, Ive done my best to keep this detox simple and filled with ingredients that
you can get at your local grocery store. Some of these ingredients will kick start your
liver Qi, some will build blood but all will be nourishing regardless.
Now I love grocery shopping. I slip on my iTunes and get right down to it. If youre
prepared, it should be a fun and quick experience. So before you go to the grocery
store, remember to not without this section. Print out these pages, or if youre a tech
head, then bring your iPad, lets boogie and get this started.

THINK OUTSIDE THE AISLES


Forget thinking about reading food labels, claims, etc. This is not what this section is
about. Rather, its to get you to think outside the aisles. You are going to want to stick
to the following areas:
Produce: fruits & vegetablesBulk section: nuts, grains, legumes, dried fruit Meat & fish
counters
Its literally that simple. There only a couple things I will venture within the aisles for and
thats for but for the purpose of this cleanse, the following is the only reason why you
should go through the aisles:
Non-dairy alternative like almond, flax or coconut milk Canned legumes and beans (for
time-sake)

that hasnt been stuck on a truck for weeks on end from South America or even South

Because here it is, the actual plan! In the following pages youll receive the dos and
donts when it comes to food and also a 7 day meal plan with suggested meal ideas.
But remember, these are only suggested meal ideas, so you can switch things up
depending on your taste and mood. Just stick within the guidelines and youll be fine.
The objective here is to provide you with alkaline foods that are anti-inflammatory, clean,
fresh and unprocessed. Well be pairing down your sugar consumption substantially
since sugar tends to interrupt the detox process. Well also be focusing on creating a
lighter diet with plenty of greens and smoothies. Youre body will love you inside and
out...and itll begin to show!

The Dos & Donts


VEGETABLES:
DO: All vegetables, especially colourful ones, and liver-loving foods like beets, dark
leafy greens like kale, collard greens, Swiss Chard and dandelion greens. Greens
should make up at least 50% of your plate.
DONT: Nightshades: mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers, all potatoes including sweet
potatoes.

FRUIT:
DO: All fruit but primarily only non-sugary ones like berries, apples, pears and all
citrus fruit.
DONT: High sugary fruit: bananas, pineapple, melons

MEATS & FISH:


DO: Organic or naturally raised chicken, fish (although make sure that youre having no
more than 2 servings of each per week). I have listed chicken to be organic or naturally
raised since non-organic varieties tend to be injected with hormones and antibiotics
which will tax the liver.
DONT: Red meat.

GRAINS:
DO: spelt, sprouted grains, quinoa, millet, amaranth, brown rice, amaranth, oats,
buckwheat and kamut. These grains however (other than breakfast time) should not
make up a more than 35% of your plate.
DONT: wheat.

DAIRY:
DO: almond milk, coconut milk, goat cheese
DONT: soy, cow dairy, flax milk.
FATS:
DO: Olive oil, ghee or clarified butter, coconut oil
DONT: Margarine, butter, canola oil or any other oil not listed here.
NUTS:
All nuts are fine except peanuts

All beans and legumes but preferably smaller ones for easier digestibility.

SEXY LIVER DETOX: STAGE I


Reducing headaches
Lets face it, headaches from getting off coffee is the pits. So to reduce them, we want
to ease our way into Stage II via Stage I. So heres a simple method to get you started:

Day 1:
Drink half a cup of caffeinated coffee with the other half with decaffeinated.

Day 2:
Drink a quarter cup of coffee with the other quarter of decaf.

Day 3:
Substitute entirely with half a cup of decaf.

Days ahead: Green tea only.


Many people ask me why not just go for decaf then? The reason is that it requires
manufacturers to add in a lot of chemicals to decaffeinate coffee so we dont need
it! However the weaning process for many of my patients works beautifully and allows
them to stay on track.
But what about black tea?
Black tea still contains caffeine so if you can avoid it than do so. Caffeine for many of us
really exhausts our overly worked adrenal glands, so we want to give them a break. And
remember the more cortisol (stress hormone) that we pump out, the harder it is for our
bodies to heal and lose weight. If youre still getting terrible headaches, then Id suggest
a little black tea sporadically to help get you over the hump!
Other things to do within these three days:

Take out all refined sugar, junk and processed foods from your
cabinets. This might be difficult but do it. If temptation is there, then
itll be harder to avoid it.
If youre going to have wine or any other type of alcohol, then have it.

But dont go crazy. Im talking giving it a goodbye last hurrah glass at


dinner and say farewell.
Start working up to 2L of water per day. Most people I see barely drink
the daily recommended amount, so if youre at one or two glasses a
day, start to increase that so it doesnt become a massive shock when
youre asked to drink 2L during Stage II.
Get all your shopping done. This includes food and getting your
notebook. Planning your week ahead will be one of the most crucial
things you can do for yourself that will set you up for success.
Tell a friend about your detox plan. This will make you accountable and
in many cases (given the right person) be a support system for you!

SEXY LIVER DETOX: STAGE II


Incorporating a new routine can be downright daunting. However if you stick to your
value about why you started this in the first place and continue every day it will become
habitual. And believe it or not, most people who put my detox into practice begin to
incorporate many of the principles that old habits die.
In the meantime, to make life a little easier, I felt it would be a great idea to give you an
outline how your average day should go:
When you wake up:

Drink 1 glass of the Morning Tonic (recipe in recipe section)


Take five minutes to sit in stillness concentrating on counting your
breaths
Set your intention for the day: write it down in your notebook
Put one tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth and begin swooshing
(dont swallow it!) and continue to get ready for your day do this for 15
minutes
Dry brush before getting in the shower: Start from your toes and in small
circles work your way up towards your heart. If you're above your heart,
work down towards it

Carry on with your meals for the day:

Squeeze in a yoga nidra session either mid day or in the evening


If you come across a negative situation write down at least 20 ways on
how it actually serves you.

Getting to this stage is a HUGE accomplishment! So patyourself on the back!
So now what? Start guzzling coffee? Maybe have one two many on a patio this
summer? How do we stay with a routine that wont have us falling hard off the
bandwagon?
So at the end of your recipe index Ive included an entire section for cheats. You can
have these incredible cheats for 1-2 days of the week. After all, if youre good 70-80%
of the time you can certainly allow yourself to be good 20-30% of the time. Honestly
though, the cheat recipes I have included are hardly cheats anyway in fact, theyre
good for you! But these are the days that you can have your wine and coffee if youd
like to. However please note:

Dont have more than 4 glass of alcohol per week!


Coffee should be kept to a maximum of 1 cup perday but if you can
leave it for the weekends to not fall into old habits.

At the end of the day practicing maintenance is to not avoid everything that you did
before, but just getting a better handle of them.

8 eggs

2 tbsp goat cheese
2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk

Preheat oven to 350 and grease muffin tin container with either coconut oil or butter.
Whisk all ingredients together except for the goat cheese. Pour into muffin tin and top

2 tbsp toasted sesame oil

Preheat oven to 400.


In a measuring cup mix coconut milk, garlic, green curry and pinch of salt. Set aside.
Take parchment paper and fold. Open back up and place white fish and veggies on
one side and pour mixture. Fold parchment paper over and wrinkle paper under to
tightly secure. Place on a small baking sheet or tray and put into the oven for 20mins.
After 20 mins be careful when opening because the steam can burn you. Eat as is or
serve with a side salad. Enjoy!

Mung Bean Burgers


1 cup black quinoa, cooked
1 cups mung beans, cooked
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp ground turmeric

1 wedge preserved lemon, skin only, finely sliced
2 shallots, chopped
Place all ingredients in a bowl of a food processor and process until smooth. Shape the
mixture into small patties and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in
170C for about 20 minutes. Serve with grilled pineapple below and sliced avocado.

Grilled Pineapple
Several ring slices of pineapple
Cinnamon for dusting
Dust pineapple with cinnamon and place on a hot grill. Turn over to the other side after
3-5 minutes. Serve with mung bean burgers above.

Kale & quinoa salad with green garlic dressing

The salad combo:

bunch kale, de-stemmed, torn into pieces


1 cup cooked quinoa
4-5 carrots sliced thin
1 small bulb of fennel sliced thin transparently
1 avocado cut into chunks
Big handful of almond slices, toasted

Green Garlic Dressing:

3 garlic cloves
tsp fine grain sea salt, plus more to taste
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1
3 cup/80 ml extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp ripe avocado
1 tsp honey
Cracked pepper to taste

Make the dressing by using a hand blender or food processor to puree the green garlic,
salt, lemon juice, olive oil, avocado, honey, and pepper until smooth. Taste, and adjust
with more salt, or honey, or lemon juice.
Before you're ready to serve, combine the kale with about half of the dressing in a large
bowl use your hands to work the dressing into the kale, softening up the kale a bit in the
process. Add the quinoa, carrots, and fennel, more dressing, and a couple pinches of
salt, and toss again. Taste, and add the last of the dressing if needed. This is a salad I like
quite heavily dressed. Add the avocados and almonds and give one last gentle toss.
Serves 2-4.

Cauliflower Pizza with Pesto Chicken Topping


1 cauliflower chopped and washed
1 cup almond flour
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 egg
3 garlic cloves minced
Couple pinches salt
1 chicken breast
sliced red onion
7 button mushrooms
1 tbsp coconut oil
cup water
Pesto for topping & mixture
Topping: goat cheese
Preheat oven to 400.
In a blender, add some of the chopped cauliflower and turn on blender. Youll have to
stop it and stir it a couple times. Pour cauliflower into a bowl and continue to put in
the rest of the cauliflower a little at a time into the blender. After all of it has been finely
shredded, put into a bowl and squeeze out water. Add in chia seeds, garlic, egg and
salt. Add the mixture onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet and begin to form
round discs using your hand as a guider and to form it. You can alternatively make a
large rectangle.
Place in the oven for 30 minutes until golden brown. In the meantime begin cooking the
chicken mixture:
Slice chicken into chunks and set aside.

In a pan add coconut oil on medium to high heat. Saut onion slices until caramelized
about 3 minutes. Add in sliced chicken and cook for five minutes.
Add in pesto, mushrooms and water. Cover and turn down heat just a little under
medium heat. Cook for another ten minutes and with a fork begin to shred chicken.
Set aside.
Take crust out of oven and top with more pesto on crust and then with chicken mixture.
Sprinkle with goat cheese. Enjoy!

Spinach and Tomato Frittata


1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 bunch scallions, thinly sliced (1 cup)
2 cups cherry tomatoes tomatoes
2 large handfuls spinach
Coarse salt and ground pepper
8 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 package of goat cheese
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a 10-inch ovenproof nonstick skillet, heat oil over
medium-high. Add scallions, spinach and tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and
cook about 5 minutes.
Add eggs and cheese, season with salt and pepper, and stir to combine. Cook,
undisturbed, until edges are set, about 2 minutes. Transfer skillet to oven and bake until
top of frittata is just set, 10 to 13 minutes.
Invert or slide frittata onto a plate and cut into 6 wedges. Serve warm or at room
temperature.
The frittata will appear to be mostly liquid on top when you transfer it to the oven, but as
long as the edges are set, the eggs will finish cooking evenly.

Zucchini Noodle with Mock Alfredo Sauce


3 zucchini spiraled or peeled with a peeler into strips
4 mushrooms roughly chopped
red onion sliced
1 tbsp coconut oil
Topping: cashews
Mock Alfredo Sauce
1 cups raw cashews
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
4 garlic cloves
6 tbsp fresh lemon juice
3 tsp kosher salt
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 tsp mustard
In a blender grind up cashews until fine. Add in the rest of the ingredient list and
process until smooth. Set aside.
In a pan, add in coconut oil and onions and saut for 3-5 minutes. Add in mushrooms
until cooked and then add in zucchini noodles for no more than 5 minutes. Transfer to a
bowl and top with mock alfredo sauce and cashews.

1 large handful dandelion salad
1 roasted beet peeled & quartered (or shredded raw beets to save

cup apple cider vinegar
1 clove garlic
cup papaya
cup strawberries
cup olive oil
Pinch stevia
Pinch sea salt
Wash, chop and add dandelion greens onto a plate and set aside.
Roast beets in aluminum foil for an hour, set aside to cool and peel off skins. To save
time, you can easily shred or grind beets in a mini food processor/chopper instead.
Add to greens. Top with avocado, pecans and sliced chicken.
Dressing: Blend in the blender and store in an air tight container.

Taco nut meat ingredients
2 cups walnuts (ground into small crumbles)
2 cups almonds (ground into small crumbles)
2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp tamari sauce
Mix together until well combined.
In the meantime, spread out a collard green leaf and press on the middle stem until
slightly crushed. Fill with taco meat and add toppings of your choice: avocado, tomato,
peppers, etc. Wrap all together and enjoy.

Jacked Up Caesar Salad


1 head of Tuscan kale (also known as black kale)
Juice from half a lemon
3 tbsp. olive oil + extra for kale massage + drizzling for croutons

1 tsp honey
1 tsp. stone ground mustard
2 garlic cloves minced
1 avocado cubed
4 slices of Ezekiel bread cubed

Optional toppings: sundried tomatoes
Preheat oven to 300. Take slices of ezekiel bread and stack. Chop into cubes, drizzle
with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and place into oven to toast. Remove from oven and

Chop up veggies and fruit into chunks (except for zucchini which should be in thicker
slices) and place in a bowl and cover with the rest of the ingredients.
Toss until well combined. Lay out a sheet of sheet of aluminum foil on a hot grill and
pour out veggies. Grill on medium and cover, turning over until reasonably grilled
on both sides. Alternatively, you can add all ingredients into the oven at 350 for 20
minutes. Top over salads, squeeze a little grapefruit juice and partner up with chunks of
chicken or grilled salmon.

Raisins for topping

Begin by bunching up the kale and slicing it as thinly as possible. Add this to a pan
with heated oil on medium heat. With tongs, rotate the kale until leaves become bright
green and theyre just about cooked about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and spoon
into bowls and top with shredded beet, carrot and cabbage. Add roasted garlic, mixed
nuts and hemp hearts. Set aside. Serves 2.

Pretty in Pink Dressing


1 heaping tbsp tahini paste
lemon squeezed
1 tbsp umeboshi vinegar
2 tbsp maple syrup (or more to taste)
Mix all ingredients together and add more maple syrup if needed.

Wash, dry and break dandelion greens into large pieces. Discard any thick ribs.

Filling:
4 cups blueberries

Topping:
1 cup almond flour

cup coconut oil, melted
cup raw honey
Preheat oven to 350F. Rinse blueberries well, then place them in a baking dish. Sprinkle
cinnamon on top.
Mix almond flour with sea salt and baking soda in a large bowl, until well mixed. Stir in
the unsweetened shredded coconut and walnuts.
Melt the coconut oil, in a small pan over low heat and then add the honey to just barely
melt the honey enough to mix it in. Stir the melted mixture into the almond flour mixture
until well blended and then crumble the almond flour mixture over the berries.
Bake for about 30 minutes until topping is golden brown.

teaspoon baking soda
teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Place pumpkin, banana, maple syrup, vanilla extract, almond butter, dates, and eggs in
a food processor and mix until well combine and smooth.
Next add your coconut flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and powder, and salt and
mix once again until completely combine.
Pour ingredients into a well-greased bread pan (I greased mine with coconut oil) and
spread out.
Place in oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until you stick a toothpick into the middle
of your loaf and it comes out clean
Let cool. Top with grass-fed butter or coconut butter. Enjoy the simple, delicious life.

COCONUT FLOUR CREPES


2 eggs
2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
Stevia liquid drops, to taste (about 10 drops)
teaspoon vanilla extract (can substitute almond extract)
18 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons coconut flour, sifted
Pinch of cinnamon
1 3 cup coconut milk (full fat)
In a medium bowl with a wire whisk, beat together the eggs, oil, stevia, vanilla, and salt.
Mix in sifted coconut flour, nutmeg and cinnamon; stir in milk.
Heat an 8-inch skillet over medium heat. When hot, melt a tiny pat of butter, coconut oil
or palm shortening in the pan. Pour 1/8 cup of batter in the skillet and swirl around in
pan until a thin layer of batter covers the bottom. The crepe should be about 6-inches
in diameter.
Cook 1-2 minutes, or until batter is bubbly and cooked around the edges. Flip the
crepe and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes more, or until done.
Fill the crepes with fruit, and if you wish a light dusting of coconut flour. Makes 6 crepes.

1 small organic butternut squash
1 handful of walnuts, pecans and pumpkin seeds
1 handful of cranberries
1 handful of cacao nibs
cup coconut milk

1 scoop protein powder of your choice (optional)
Peel and cube squash and steam for 15 minutes or until tender.
Place in a bowl and add in nuts, cranberries, cacao nibs and spices. Fold mixture

Separately warm coconut milk and add in a little water to thin out a touch.
Remove from heat. Spoon into a small bowl the squash mixture for one serving and

1 pound of ground Italian sausage
6 assorted bell peppers
head of cauliflower
1 8oz can of tomato paste
1 small white onion, medium diced
head of garlic, minced.

Extra virgin olive oil (2 tsp)
2 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp dried thyme
1 jalapeno (optional)
Sea salt (optional)
Preheat oven to 375.
Please the extra virgin olive oil in a cooking pan and brown the sausage. While the
sausage is cooking, cut the tops off of your peppers and scoop out and discard the
seeds. Using a food processor, process the cauliflower into rice and put in a large
mixing bowl. Add your minced garlic, tomato paste, basil, oregano, thyme, jalapeno
(optional), sea salt (optional), and onion to your cauliflower and mix by hand.
Once the sausage is cooked, add it to your mixture and stir it up. With everything mixed
up, fill up each pepper and place them all in a glass cooking dish.
Cook the peppers with filling on 375 for at least 45 minutes. Top with goat cheese (optional)
