Project in Brief
Project Title:

Remote Monitoring &

Power Theft Control At
Substation Using Power Line Communication

Objective:

Our objective is to design & develop a monitoring &

control system for Electric Power Theft, capable of
reading the electric meter consumption, continuously
monitoring the theft status at meter as well as in power
lines and communicating this all information to
substation over power lines serving as communication
channel & transmission lines for electricity
simultaneously. It provides automatic billing system and
solution to Energy crisis in Pakistan by conversing
energy from being theft.
This Project consists of three modules. In first module
we measure the electric meter consumption and theft
status by using phototransistor sensors. Second module
is half duplex power line communication in which we
transmit and receive the data using 220 volts AC Power
Line cables as communication medium by
implementations of power line transmitter and receiver.
Third one includes database at substation
