Elitecore Product Management Life Cycle

End-of-Sale & End-of-Life

Definition-

End-of-Sale (EoS)

Product Version EoS will be 3 years from date of release/delivery to customer.

End-of-Life (EoL)

Version EoL means, no BUG-Fix and Enhancement. In customer case, it works as below

First 3 year as is the product version 'N' (where N is latest product version deployed) will be supported
within valid AMC
Extended 1 year (4th year) of support for product version (N) within valid AMC
During extended period(4th year), customer to upgrade the product version. This new product version
will further be supported for next 3 years from date of release/delivery to customer within valid AMC.
Along with new product version, since Elitecore supports till N-1 product version, earlier product
version (N-1) will be further supported for next 3 years too within valid AMC. i.e. total support period for
product version(N-1) would be 7 years from date of release/delivery to customer.
Hence EoL for a product version(N) will be 7 years from the date of release/delivery to customer
(including First year warranty as per contract).

Product Versioning
Version A.B.C.D scheme explanation

D means Bug fixes and Optimizations and it is complete free. Fix include bugs
reported by various customers across versions. Smooth upgrade.

C means major feature enhancements, per 1-2 quarter. Manual steps documented

B implies commercially eligible new modules and functionalities and can be 1-2
per year. It may not backward compatible as-it-is. Detail study and exhaustive
testing required before opting this upgrade.

A means a big environment, technology and architecture change. A & B together


defines prime verison number

A, B and C shall have commercial impact per estimation on mutually agreed terms.

Product Life Cycle

Each Service Provider will have latest version of product deployed.

Every product version will have lifecycle / end-of-sale period of 3 years, with an
extended support of 1 year provided AMC is active and valid

Elitecore supports N-1 version of its product.

Service Provider needs to upgrade the system during the extended 1 year period. The
same will further have a lifecycle / end-of-sale period of 3 years.

In case Service Provider misses placing the AMC for an year and places back the AMC
in the following year, the Service Provider would have to renew the AMC from prior
year. i.e missed year as well.
