Bike Lanes Coming to

Summit & Fourth Next Year

Even More Road Improvements

Planned

In 2015, the City of Columbus will install bike lanes

on Summit and Fourth streets between I-670 and
Hudson. A big thanks to our neighbors Chris Orban
and Christine Happel, who persistently advocated for
these lanes with city and state officials over
several years.

Youve already noticed the water line being replaced on

11thbut theres lots more in store. The city of
Columbus recently confirmed plans to:
Resurface Fifth Avenue between N. Fourth and
Grant, reduce it to four lanes, add bike facilities,
and replace curbs and sidewalks (spring 2014)
Add a traffic circle at Indianola and Sixth (spring
2014)
Add curb extensions at Indianola and Seventh
(spring 2014)
Add curb extensions on Indianola at Euclid and at
Eighth (spring 2015)
Resurface Summit and N. Fourth (see bike lanes
story above) (spring 2015)
Resurface 11th between Pearl and Grant,
replace curbs and sidewalks, and add street lights
and trees (fall 2015)
