RAPTURE READY SCRIPTURE BACKGROUND 1 THES 4:13-17 1 THES 4:13-18, 5:1-11, 2 Thes 2: 1-17, HEB 2:3, MATT.

24:43, LUKE 12:39

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; ( John 3:16) which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; 4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? Heb 2:3-4 (KJV) See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Heb 12:25-27 (KJV) (Shake. Shaken, shaking), ( Hebrew 12: 27) notes- those things that are shaken -- the heaven and the earth. As the shaking is to be total, so shall the removal be, making way for the better things that are unremovable. . as of things . . . made -- namely, of this present visible creation: compare 2Co 5:1 Heb 9:11, "made with hands . . . of this creation," that is, things so made at creation that they would not remain of themselves, but be removed. The new abiding heaven and earth are also made by God, but they are of a higher nature than the material creation, being made to partake of the divine nature of Him who is not made: so in this relation, as one with the uncreated God, they are regarded as not of the same class as the things made. The things made in the former sense do not remain; the things of the new heaven and earth, like the uncreated God, "shall REMAIN before God" (Isa 66:22). The Spirit, the seed of the new and heavenly being, not only of the believer's soul, but also of the future body, is an uncreated and immortal principle.

5. FOR THE LORD (HIMSELF) SHALL DESCEND FROM HEAVEN, WITH A SHOUT (LOUD NOISE) A. WITH THE VOICE OF THE ARCHANGEL B. WITH THE TRUMP OF GOD: 1 THES 5:2 (THAT DAY SHALL COME AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT) CATCH THEM UNAWARE. 6. AND THE DEAD IN CHRIST SHALL RISE FIRST, THEN WE WHICH ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN SHALL BE CAUGHT UP TOGETHER WITH THEM IN THE CLOUDS (CAUGHT UP IN THE CLOUDS) TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR AND SO SHALL WE EVER BE WITH THE LORD. We shall be CAUGHT UP IN THE CLOUDS IN THE AIR. (1 COR 15:51-58) Behold, I shew you a Mystery ; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. WHY IS THE TRUMPETS SOUNDED? (NUMBER 10:1-10) FOR AN ALARM FOR THE GATHERING TOGATHER OF THE CONGREGATION FOR REMEMBERANCE 7. (1 THES 5:1) BUT OF THAT TIME AND SEASON YE HAVE NO NEED THAT I WRITE UNTO YOU. FOR YOU KNOW PERFECTLY WELL 1. THAT THE DAY OF THE LORD SO COMETH AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT. THE OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFE TIME (AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT) 8. IF THE GOOD MAN OF THE HOUSE NEW WHAT watch the THIEF WOULD COME HE WOULD BE WATCHING. (MATT 24:43, Luke 12:39) but of that day and hour knoweth no man,not the angels in heaven But the Father only. As it was in the Days of Noah (Mark 13:32, Luke 21:34-36) so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. Why is he referred to as” the Son of Man”? The Bible says He was tempted on all points yet without sin. He knows what it is to be in this world. The Bible says as it was in the days of Noah so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. 1. They were eating, drinking, marrying, given in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ark. 2. They knew not until they all were taken away. a. b. Two women grinding at the mill 3. Watch therefore for ye know not what hour your Lord doth Come 9. But know this ( Matt 24: 43) if the good man had known in what watch the thief would come He would have watched and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready for in such and hour as ye thing not the Son of Man Cometh> 1 THES 5: 2 -The day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night: for when they say: Peace and Safety then sudden destruction cometh upon them as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape. To be Rapture ready means to Watch. The word watch means 1. To guard 2. To look for 3. To be prepared in whatever hour the Lord comes: a. THE FIRST WATCH b. SECOND WATCH c. THIRD WATCH d. FOURTH WATCH For the grace of God that bringeth Salvation hath appeared to all men. (John 3:16). Teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world: Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Titus 2:11-13 How shall we escape if we neglect so great a plan of Salvation?

Hebrew 9:28 So, Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Rapture ready Like King David in (Psalms 62:1-12) can we say: “Truly my soul waiteht upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.” “ My soul, waith thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. (1 John 2:28- 1 John 3:1-3) And now, little children, abide in him; that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If we know he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. Behold (Look) what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. Finally (Romans 8:18-39)

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the daylong; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Song: Are you washed in the Blood of the Lamb, are your garments spotless, are they white as snow, Are you washed in the Blood of the Lamb. Call to Salvation: The Invite Closing prayer and offering Meaning: “Son of Man” also emphasizes who Jesus is in relation to His incarnation and His work of salvation. In the Old Testament (Leviticus 25:25-26, 48-49; Ruth 2:20), the next of kin (one related by blood) always functioned as the "kinsman-redeemer" of a family member who needed redemption from jail. Jesus became related to us “by blood” (that is, He became a man) so He could function as our Kinsman-Redeemer and rescue us from sin.

A WARNING ABOUT THE RAPTURE By Dr. R. L. Hymers, Jr. “I will come again, and receive you unto myself” (John 14:3). (Matthew 24:36, 33) I. First, the Bible tells us that true Christians will be ruptured, caught up to meet Christ in the air, I Thessalonians 4:16-17. II. Second, the Bible tells us that the Rapture will happen in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, I Corinthians 15:51-54; I John 3:2; Job 19:26-27. III. Third, the Bible warns us not to miss the Rapture, Luke 17:34-36; [Matthew 24:40-41]; Isaiah 55:6; Luke 13:24.
Pastor Crump, I will talk about the rapture and being rapture ready, Lord willing.
