Objectives:

Create a new logo to fit a company or a personal
image. Design the layouts for a business card and
letterhead. To use the basic Illustrator and InDesign.

Process:

I mainly used the rectangle tool to create both the front and back of
the design. I copied and pasted the contact imformation onto the
back, and the company name and logo onto the front. I added more
leaves from the logo to the overall card design, and to fill in white
space.

Objectives:

Create a new logo to fit a company or personal image. Deisng consistent layouts for a business card and letterhead.
Use the basic tools of Illustrator and InDesign.

Process:
I designed the logo using the line tool, and then I made it looked
faded into the background. I tpyed in my contact information
and I then made that look faded as well. Then I add lines around
it make it look boxed in, and I added in the company name and
added the logo again, but the name of the company. I decided to
add just a hint of colour with my logo, so I added one green leaf to
make it stand out.

making them look faded into the background and making
them seem transparent almost. One I added that, I moved
on and added in a wood texture to back, and I made it look
faded. I then added in the text, making one text look faded,
and other normal and standing out compared to the other.

another and for repetition. For this project

Logos
Description:
Three logo variations for the same company.

Date:
October 31, 2015

Course Instructor:
Joel Judkins

Program(s)/Tools:
Adobe Illustrator

Objectives:

To create a variety of logos to fit a
company pr a personal image. Use the
basics of Illustrator.

Process:
This was a really fun way to use Illustrator, and learn how to
design a logo. I used the ellipse tool to help create the basic
design, and shape of the first and last images. For the middle
image I used the line tools and ellipse tool to create the leafe.
I used the pen tool to create the tea bag that is apart of the
tea cup. I then picked out fonts that I thought would look
really make the logos standout, and that would make people
interested in the design.

Brochure
Description:

A two sided folding brochure.

Date:

December 5, 2015

Course Instructor:

Joel Judkins

Program(s)/Tools:

Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop.

Objectives:

Set up and align a two-sided, folded document.
Learn how to wrap text around an image and use
paragraph styles in InDesign.

Process:

Using Adobe Photoshop I was able to crop down that size of the images that I used.I then
moved onto InDesign, and I had split my layout into four sections. I used the line tools, and
created thick black lines around the whole page, and then I made the lines smalled and made
them the splits for the four sections. I then used the elipse tool and created a circle to put
my text in. I then added in one of my images, adding in small red lines around it to make it
stand out. I also chose a font that would stand out as well, and I added my title. I again used
the elipse tool to add in more circles, and added my last image in with blue lines around it
this time. Lastly, I again used the rectangle tool around my text to make it look boxed in and
different from the rest.

Program(s)/Tools:

Microsoft Word, and a scanner

Objectives:

Find, scan and import a high-quality image. Create a fullbleed design. Use text boxes for the layout in Word. Insert
and edit the image in Word.

Process:

I first scanned in the photo of the cat, and then sized
it down a bit, so that it would fit. I then added in some
boxes, making the orange, and then added in some
boxes that were thinned down and made a darker
orange to contrast the brighter orange that was used. I
added in text that went well with background, and the
colours of the cat.

Imaging

Canon Camera, and Adobe Photoshop.

Objectives:

Learn the basic photography skills. Use a digital
camera to take a quality photo. Size and crop the
image. Adjust the brightness, contrast, hue and
saturation levels of photo. Use a filter or colorize
a portion of the image.

Process:

I took this photo using a Canon camera. I was able to take a
nice shot of thise, even though I was not quite skilled with the
camera and it came out quite nice. I then put my image onto
Photoshop, and made the colours in the image stand out more
by using the sharpening tool. I didn’t add a filter to it, and left it
as it is.
