Homework: Exercises will be assigned for each chapter to be discussed in class. The
exercises are going to be the key element for the exams. Students are expected to
complete the Self Test after each chapter. There will be random quizzes during the
semester which will come from the Multiple Choice section of the Self Test.
Computer Assignment: We will be using Excel for any computer assignment since it is
readily accessible on campus from either Mac or PC labs. There will be a graded
computer assignment prior to the midterm applying principles learned in class. Students
should turn in answers as both an Excel spreadsheet printout with all values labeled, and
a printout of the same spreadsheet with the formulas (Tools-Options-View-Formulas).
Computer work will also be required for selected exercises.
Grading: The final grade is based on the following:

No make-up exams are given.
Any assignment turned in late will be penalized half a letter grade for each day late.
