MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of our clergy and parishioners at Our Lady of Peace, St Andrews and
St Gilberts, and to our Anglican brothers and sisters at St Andrews, especially Rev Janet
Minkkinen.
MANY THANKS to so many who have helped in the Parish throughout the year in varying jobs and
ministries, especially at Christmas. Grateful thanks to: the altar servers; our musicians and choir;
the Church cleaners; the flower ladies who provide such beautiful displays throughout the year;
Sacristans Denise, Marian and Marie; the readers; the extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion;
the collectors; parish welcomers/ushers; the team of counters; the 9.45am Mass Tea/Coffee team;
the CWL; the SVP. THANK YOU TO YOU ALL. Special thanks to all who helped during our
Mission. And finally thanks especially to Yvonne Cafferty, the parish secretary, for all her work.
CHANGE OF MASS TIMES Please note the following changes :
Friday, 26th December - St Stephen's Day/Boxing Day. Mass will be at 10.00am and not at
9.30am and will be at Our Lady of Peace.
Thursday, 1st January, Mass will be at 10.00am in Our Lady of Peace and not in
St Andrews.
HELP AT THE CHRISTMAS 6.00PM MASS Please sign up on the sheet which is at the back of
the Church, the childrens Mass is always very busy so any help offered will be very much
appreciated. There is a separate list for altar servers in the Sacristy, please check which Mass you
will be attending before you sign up. Many thanks.
DECEASED Please pray for Gertrudes Ariz RIP who died recently, her Requiem Mass will be on
Monday, 22nd December at 1.00pm followed by cremation at Slough Crematorium. May her soul
and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

THANK YOU Margery Christian and family would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts,
messages of condolence, cards, letters and donations following Franks death in June. Donations in
excess of 1,000 were received for their nominated Charities (Alzheimers UK and Ward 6 at
Wexham Park Hospital.

LONDON AND SLOUGH RUN Thank you to everyone who contributed to our annual Christmas
street party held last Monday, 15th December. As always we had a wonderful response. Your
support is so critical and very much appreciated by the London and Slough Run Charity team and
especially by our friends on the street. Best wishes to you and your families and we wish you a
happy and peaceful Christmas.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CLASSES If you have registered your child(ren) to make their First
Holy Communion in May 2015, there will be a meeting for the Parents on Thursday, 8th January at
6.30pm in Our Lady of Peace Church. The books we shall use with the children will be available at
this meeting so please bring an envelope with your childs name written on it containing the cost of
the books, which you have been advised by letter/email. The childrens sessions will then
commence on Saturday, 10th January from 9.30am11.00am at St Andrews Church, Cippenham.
Further information on the full programme will be explained at the meeting on 8th January, therefore
please attend with your child. Please pray for our children so that they will grow in their
appreciation of the sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion.
