RESPONSE
FAMILY
We light the Christ candle signifying that the Light of the World has come to earth.
This night is like no other night in the history of the world. For it was on this night
that God, the Creator of the universe took on human flesh as a baby.
CONGREGATION
His name is Jesus and he shall save the people from their sins.
FAMILY
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in
him shall not perish but have eternal life.
CONGREGATION
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the
world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned.
