Fromthearchitect.ThecomplexbuildingonashoppingstreetoftheTokyodowntown
area.Thisshoppingstreetislosingonceactivity.Thestreetcarisrunningtothisshopping
streetinparallel.Inconnectionwiththeroadofthesideofastreetcarbeingwidened,many
buildingsonthisshoppingstreetstarttorebuild.Thisbuildingisalsooneofthem.The
secondfloorisusedasthehouseofaclient,thefirstfloorasnoodleshopofaclient,and
thethirdandthefourthfloorastherentalhousing.
Theclientlivesinthisareafromchildhood.Whileneedingapresencewhichisnotburied
undersurroundings,toomuchconspicuousnessisnotdesirable.Weaimforthebuilding
whichismoderatelyconspicuous,andcanmaintainthepresenceevenifitpassesthrough
time.
