ISB for the period of exchange) will be returned to you since
you will be vacating the room during the exchange period.

Bidding Guidelines

All seats will be offered across both the campuses

Live Bidding for all the Exchange programmes.


Three Phases of Bidding {Preference Phase, Bidding
Phase(2 Rounds), Confirmation Phase(2 Rounds)}

Maximum Bid Points: 2000


Minimum Bid Points: 400

Tips On Bid Points

You are expected to manage your bid points


for Inter Campus Exchange(Electives),
Elective courses, Practicum courses(ELP, FIRP,
PaEV, WGCP) and place bid points
accordingly for the International Exchange
Programme.

Bidding Guidelines
Confirmation option will be given at the end of each
bidding round

After confirmation of the seat, if a student drops from


the Exchange Programme, 1600 points will be
deducted irrespective of Clearing Bid Price.

Preference
Phase

Bidding
Phase 1

Students will have to give preferences for minimum 3 and maximum 10 schools
There is no need to rank the schools or give order of preferences.
Timeline: July 5th (10.00 a.m) to July 18th (18.00 hrs) Duration : Approximately 2
weeks

Live Bidding: July 20th Duration: 3 hrs.


Bidding round will be open only for those students who have given preferences in
Preference Phase
Students can only bid for 3 schools from this set of preferences( 3 to 10 ) in this
Bidding phase
In this round, students will be given tie break number for each school they have
preferred for.
It will be a transparent process where students can view the minimum winning bid
at any given point of time
Based on the bid points and random tie break number , allocation will be done
In case of a tie, student with lowest tie break number will be allotted the seat
Green flag will show the winning bid and red flag will indicate losing bid

Duration: 30 min
Students with green flag (bid winners) will be given 30 minutes window to confirm
Confirmation their acceptance
Failure to confirm acceptance of the programme in this round will result in that
Phase 1
student being dropped from the programme automatically. Bid points are returned.

Bidding
Phase 2

Duration: 2 hrs.
A student who participated in Bidding Phase 1 and is not allotted a confirmed seat
can also participate in this phase
A student who has not participated in Bidding Phase 1 (even though s/he has given
preferences in the Preference Phase) is also eligible to participate in this phase
Available seats from Bidding Phase 1 will be carried forward to this phase
It will be a transparent process where students can view the minimum winning bid
at any given point of time
Based on the bid points and random tie break number, allocation will be done
In case of a tie, student with lowest tie break number will be allotted the seat
Green flag will show the winning bid and red flag will indicate losing bid

Confirmation
Phase 2

Duration: 30 min
Students with green flag (Bid winners) will be given 30 minutes window to
confirm their acceptance

student being dropped from the programme automatically. Bid points are
returned.

* Tentative timings for Bidding on July 20th : 14.00 hrs 22.00 hrs

Credits
 20 contact hours at exchange school converts to make one
ISB credit
 Credits earned at the exchange school are considered towards
graduation and concentration area requirements
 Exchange course grades are not converted to ISBs grading
scale. Therefore these grades are not considered for CGPA
 Exchange credits and grades will not appear on the ISB
transcript. Only after receiving a separate transcript from the
exchange school, ISB certificate and transcript will be
released.
 Take ASAs approval before registering for courses at host
school to ensure Graduation/Concentration area
requirements.
 Exchange students are also considered for the Special Honors
(Deans List and ISB Scholar of Excellence) that are awarded
at the end of the programme.

Exchange disqualifiers
 Found guilty of any Honour code violation
 F grade in any course for any reason before going on

Exchange programme (academic performance, attendance


etc.)
 CGPA below 2.50 before going on Exchange programme.
 Student hold the citizenship of the country s/he wishes to go

on exchange

Bid Points Refund


 Student who are allotted a seat and do not confirm in the
Confirmation Phase will be treated as Drop out. Bid points
will be returned.
 For any subsequent drop out or disqualifications, bid points
will not be refunded
