ESOTERIC PLANE

1. Definition
Esoteric-understood by or meant for only the selected few who have special knowledge or
interest;
In esoteric cosmology, a plane other than the physical plane is conceived as a subtle state of
consciousness that transcends the known physical universe.
The concept may be found in religious and esoteric teachings which propound the idea of a
whole series of subtle planes, worlds or dimensions which, from a center, interpenetrate themselves and
the physical planet in which we live, the solar systems, and all the physical structures of the universe.
These planes exist outside the physicsal world we get to interact with and draw information using our
material perception. They are not time bound nor we can interact with, our only connection with them
being limited to awareness. E.G. : (Vedanta (Advaita Vedanta), Ayyavazhi, shamanism, Hermeticism,
Neoplatonism, Gnosticism, Kashmir Shaivism, Sant Mat/Surat Shabd Yoga, Sufism, Druze, Kabbalah,
Theosophy, Anthroposophy, Rosicrucianism (Esoteric Christian), Eckankar, Ascended Master
Teachings)
This interpenetration of planes culminates in the universe itself as a physical
structured, dynamic and evolutive expression emanated through a series of steadily denser
stages, becoming progressively more material and embodied. ***

The emanation*** is conceived, according to esoteric teachings, to have been originated, at the
dawn of the universe's manifestation, in The Supreme Being (or the Great Architect of the Universe is
a conception of God. It is used to neutrally represent deity in whatever form, and by whatever name
each cult describes it. ) who sent outfrom the unmanifested Absolute ( is the concept of an
unconditional reality which transcends limited, conditional, everyday existence.)the dynamic force
of creative energy, as sound-vibration ("the Word"), into the abyss of space
The concept of planes of existence might be seen as deriving from shamanic and traditional
mythological ideas of a vertical world-axis for example Yggdrasil*** or Mount Meru*** or a
philosophical conception of a Great Chain of Being, arranged metaphorically from God down to
inanimate matter.
*** - Yggdrasil - is an immense tree that is central in Norse cosmology, in connection to which the nine
worlds exist. The nine worlds existent in Norse Mithology are spread around the tree. The exact order
of the worlds is not known.
*** - Mount Meru - Mount Meru is a sacred mountain with five peaks in Hindu, Jain as well as
Buddhist cosmology and is considered to be the center of all the physical, metaphysical and spiritual
universes.
*** - Dimensiunile personale se intrepatrund nu pentru a forma ceva fizic ci mai degraba pentru a croi
o carare inspre progresul personal, inspre implinire.
*** - Emanation, from the Latin emanare meaning "to flow from" or "to pour forth or out of", is the
mode by which all things are derived from the First Reality, or Principle. All things are derived from
the first reality or perfect God by steps of degradation to lesser degrees of the first reality or God, and
at every step the emanating beings are less pure, less perfect, less divine. Emanationism is a
transcendent principle from which everything is derived, and is opposed to both Creationism (wherein
the universe is created by a sentient God who is separate from creation) and materialism (Materialism
is a form of philosophical monism which holds that matter is the fundamental substance in nature, and
that all phenomena, including mental phenomena and consciousness, are the result of material
interactions. Materialism is closely related to physicalism; the view that all that exists is ultimately

physical. It posits no underlying subjective and/or ontological nature behind phenomena being
immanent).
